I encountered many insightful talks and conversations; here are a few highlights I'd like to share: 🏅 Leadership is not about a title but about a commitment to both individual and business success. Yesterday, we had a very thought-provoking discussion about the Championship in Miratech. Who are the champions – people and businesses, why, which qualities do they possess, and how do they become champions? I believe that the background for the championship is to do what you love and are passionate about. Imagine a prosperous, well-known, well-paid and recognised artist, engineer or doctor  - the best in their industry. If they do what they love, yes, that’s a championship, but if they don’t enjoy what they do daily, how can they be champions for themselves even with all the above-mentioned achievements? Robert Greene analysed such masters as Leonardo da Vinci, Charles Darwin, and others to reveal the secrets of their greatness. The main takeaway from his book "Ther concise Mastery" is that they succeed in finding themselves. They did what they loved. And then, with all their hard work, which they enjoyed, they became masters. Or champions.  Speaking about hard work, there is a 10K-hour rule introduced more than 30 years ago by Ericsson et al. They argued that the difference between experts and amateurs in music is 10K hours of deliberate practice. If you like reading academic papers, I highly recommend the 15K cited in the Google Scholar article “The Role of Deliberate Practice in the Acquisition of Expert Performance”. Malcolm Gladwell then popularised the 10K-hour concept in his book "Outliers: The Story of Success." In that book, Gladwell examined why some people achieve expert-level success in various fields, and the "10K-hour rule" was one of his main explanations. So, my conclusion. The recipe for the championship is: do what you love +  do that a lot. With 1st ingredient, the 2nd would be a pleasure.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of participating in a panel discussion at Drive Sweden Forum centered around leveraging AI to enhance traffic safety. I emphasised the following points, based on my team's findings in Vinnova funded project AI Enhanced Mobility program - and welcome to explore the full story below: - First and foremost, city engagement stands as a pivotal factor. The journey towards a sustainable transportation system is poised to commence within urban landscapes. Hence, it is imperative for research endeavors to forge robust partnerships with cities and urban developers to collectively propel this transformation. - Secondly, knowledge plays a paramount role. There is a pressing need for a substantial elevation in comprehension amongst stakeholders involved in shaping our urban environments. Diverse perspectives are indispensable, and a wider dissemination of knowledge regarding AI's capabilities and limitations is imperative. - Lastly, data remains at the forefront, as always. It is imperative to meticulously identify available data, its accessibility, and its quality. Additionally, facilitating data sharing while understanding the requisite standards for the tool's efficacy is imperative.
