Five tips for making the most of a buffet efficiently: 1. Survey the options first: Before you start, take a walk around the buffet to see all the choices available. This way, you can prioritize your favorite dishes and avoid filling your plate with items you're less excited about. 2. Start with lighter foods: Begin with salads or lighter appetizers to ease into the meal. This helps you avoid feeling overly full too soon, giving you more room to enjoy a variety of dishes. 3. Focus on high-value items: Buffets often have a mix of cheaper fillers (like bread or pasta) and more expensive dishes (like seafood or specialty meats). Prioritize the higher-value items to get the most for your money. 4. Small portions, many trips: Take small portions of the dishes you like, so you can try more without overloading your plate. Multiple trips to the buffet can help you enjoy different flavors without feeling overwhelmed. 5. Stay hydrated, but not too much: Drink water to stay hydrated, but don't overdo it with liquids during the meal, as they can fill you up quickly and limit how much food you can enjoy. These strategies help you enjoy a buffet without feeling stuffed too quickly or missing out on your favorite foods.
