If you'd like to take advantage of the $7,500 tax credit to buy or lease a new or used Electric Vehicle (EV) or Plug-in Electric Hybrid (PHEV) be sure to do it before Dec. 31, 2024. The new administration plans to end the tax credit in January 2025 per reporting by the NY Times. Some good news: The number of charging stations has grown exponentially over the last year with over 200,000 charging stations in the United States. We're able to do road trips to rural areas, the mountains and the coast in our 100% electric VW ID.4 - there's plenty of fast charging stations that are easy to use. And there are many EVs on the market - examples:  Kia EV6, VW ID.4, Ford Mach-E, Nissan Arya, Polestar, Chevy Bolt EUV, Chevy Blazer EV, Chevy Equinoz EV, Hyundai Ioniq, Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia Niro Electric. Anticipating a repeal of the tax credit, I've done my research, saved my pennies, and am ready to purchase a used EV (Bolt, probably). But -- Eric Brody, I am thinking of purchasing in the first week of January so that I can get a 2023 model. I'm not seeing anything that leads me to believe EVs must be procured by Dec. 31st. Can you please clarify? And thank you for your advocacy.

I loved my little Chevy Spark plug-in electric. But when Mike retired and we didn't need two cars we gave it up as the less practical choice (the other being a Prius V). I have typed the name of that car so many times but it just this minute dawned on me that "Prius V" looks like the name of a Pope.

I've driven electric since 2013, two Smart cars (one leased, one owned the latter unfortunately had to be written off due to dealer errors) and now I have a Bolt EUV which I absolutely LOVE.
