Title: Tin Bath and Lehr Manager
Location: Yanbu, Saudi Arabia
Experience: Minimum 7 years
Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumental Engineering (Glass Production Technology or Chemical Engineering preferred)
Language: Proficiency in English
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage tin bath and lehr production to meet local and international customer demands.
• Optimize production costs through efficient utilization of resources.
• Lead and train a skilled workforce, ensuring timely, high-quality output.
• Oversee supplier visits, audits, and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with quality teams to enhance glass production efficiency.
• Prepare and revise budgets, inventory, and risk assessments.
• Analyze and report production performance using quality and statistical tools.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules and adequate spare parts inventory.
• Uphold safety protocols and monitor workplace compliance.
• Conduct regular reviews, solve production issues, and attend daily meetings.
• Modify operations as per customer requirements and maintain departmental housekeeping.
Required Competencies:
Technical Skills:
• Expertise in tin bath operations, ribbon stability, temperature control, atmosphere regulation, and defect elimination.
• Proficiency in glass melting, annealing processes, and equipment maintenance.
• Data-driven decision-making and troubleshooting capabilities.
Knowledge Areas:
• Float glass production and lehr stages, including quality standards and environmental compliance.
• Maintenance of production equipment and understanding glass properties and chemistry.
Attributes:
• Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong decision-making skills under pressure.
• Effective communication and commitment to safety and quality standards.
Special Requirements:
• Experience with thickness changeovers (2-15 mm) and width adjustments (3210-3660 mm).
• Expertise in lift-out roller setup, tweel adjustments, and gas consumption optimization.
• Background in producing raw glass for automotive and mirror applications.
Authorities:
• Set work regulations aligned with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001/2015).
• Monitor departmental costs, performance, and safety compliance.
• Evaluate staff performance, enforce HR policies, and approve procurement requests.
