🌟 Celebrating Women in Tech: A Collaborative Success 🌟 This past week, the DGWA hosted an inspiring event focused on women in technology. The insightful discussions and shared experiences underscored the significance of diversity and empowerment in the tech industry. Two key themes resonated deeply during our event: - The Art of Balance - Our speakers highlighted the importance of establishing boundaries, especially in a world where technology often blurs the lines between work and home. - Embracing Change - The tech industry is ever-evolving, making adaptation and change management skills invaluable. Our attendees learned about the power of self-awareness and the need for continuous growth to navigate the complexities of the tech landscape. A special thank you to our distinguished speakers, ou panelists Claire M. and Juliana Pitta, and participants who brought this event to life. 🙌 Janet Cassar, Laetitia Bigot, MBA, and Chrissy Viron - your experiences, insights, and enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive tech community were truly inspiring. Are you receiving due recognition for your own contributions in the tech industry? You're not alone if you've felt undervalued. Many talented women face similar challenges. Continuing to operate in a system that doesn't recognize your worth can lead to frustration and stagnation, hindering both personal growth and industry progress. One effective step towards rectifying this disparity is to amplify your voice and showcase your achievements through networking events, conferences, or online platforms dedicated to women in tech. By actively participating in these spaces and sharing your expertise, you not only raise awareness of your own contributions but also inspire and empower other women in similar situations. Additionally, seeking out mentorship and sponsorship from allies within the industry can provide valuable support and advocacy, helping to ensure that your work receives the recognition it deserves. Imagine a world where your talents are celebrated and your efforts are acknowledged without question, where opportunities flow freely and recognition is based solely on merit. Join me at my next challenge where we'll discuss strategies to empower women in tech, share success stories, and foster a supportive community dedicated to equality and recognition. Let's pave the way for a future where all contributions are valued, regardless of gender. Please register at: https://lnkd.in/gwTkqhsc #womenintech #womenintechnology #womeinleadership

It’s not enough to hire based on certifications and digital skills alone, but hiring for durable skills doesn’t just mean “going with your gut” on a candidate. Megan O'Connor's presentation at Women in Tech DC tomorrow will apply a framework for incorporating durable skills in to your talent recruitment and development strategy. https://lnkd.in/g5VZXF7M #techskills #softskills #skillstraining #futureofwork
Join our Chegg Skills Head of Strategic Partnerships, Megan O'Connor, at Women in Tech DC on May 15 at 3:20pm ET where she'll discuss why it’s increasingly critical for companies to recruit (and develop existing talent) for a broad spectrum of skills, from digital to durable and everything in between. https://lnkd.in/g5VZXF7M #WITDC24

Congratulations to Maree Isaacs, WiseTech's Co-Founder and Executive Director on being named on the inaugural Women Leading Tech Power List! The list is based on four simple criteria: 1. The size and health of the organization of which the woman is a part of, 2. The social, cultural, economic and even political importance of the work that they do, 3. The arc of their career — which sometimes involves a squiggly line rather than a straight course to the top, 4. How each woman uses her power to help inclusivity and equality. Women leaning in! At #HexagonLIVE Italia's “Women in Tech Roundtable,” 20 female professionals shared their experiences and highlighted the need to break down the barriers that still limit female representation in the tech sector. Some take-aways: At the company level, solid inclusion policies help ensure diversity is a lived value at all levels. Fostering an inclusive environment spurs creativity and leads to better solutions. And: Educational institutions play a crucial role in encouraging young girls to pursue careers in technology. Providing role models and offering dedicated programs can help build a future where women join in shaping technological change. There is still some work to be done, but these women are proof that we're on a good path! 💪💻 #WomenInTech

At Antal, we are committed to providing the best recruitment solutions by providing equal opportunities in recruitment and in particular in digital transformation or technology one, ensuring that all clients and candidates are treated fairly and given the same chances. In 2024, the representation of women in technology across Europe shows gradual improvement, although significant gaps persist. Women account for around 22% of the tech workforce, a number that varies by country, with nations like Sweden and the UK showing more progress compared to others. However, women remain underrepresented in senior leadership and technical roles such as software engineering, where they make up less than 15%. European initiatives like the EU’s “Women in Digital” strategy and national programs aim to boost female participation in tech fields. Despite these efforts, structural barriers and cultural biases still pose challenges to achieving gender balance across the sector. 🌸 WOMEN IN IT: THE POWER OF DIVERSITY IN FOSTERING INNOVATION 🚀 🌐 Diversity is not just a metric—it’s the fuel for #innovation. When people from varied backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences come together, they create an environment where new ideas flourish and breakthrough solutions emerge. Yet, we still have work to do in certain industries to fully unlock this potential 💪🏻. 💻 Take the #ICT sector, for example: only 1️⃣7️⃣% of the workforce consists of #women. This gap isn't just a matter of representation; it's a missed opportunity. Research shows that diverse teams are more likely to innovate and perform better, especially in tech-driven fields where creativity and problem-solving are critical. 📈 To truly innovate, we must build inclusive workplaces where everyone—regardless of gender, race, or background—feels empowered to contribute. 📣 Let’s challenge the status quo and actively support initiatives that promote #diversity, #equity, and #inclusion. It’s not just good ethics—it’s good business. 💡 ⌘ At Proximus Group, 3️⃣2️⃣% of our colleagues and 5️⃣0️⃣% of our Board of Directors are women 💁🏻♀️. ❓ What steps is your organization taking to foster diversity and drive innovation? Let’s share ideas and inspire action! 🗣️ ✨ Shoutout to amazing women: Anne-Sophie Lotgering Beatrice de Mahieu Antonietta Mastroianni Catherine De Saedeleer Sylvie Shako K. 🎉🌟🚺 International Women's Day 2024 🚺🌟🎉 She is IN He is IN We are IN On March 8th, 2024, we joyously celebrated International Women's Day at Innomotics. This year, our event centered around the theme of human intelligence, a topic chosen by our esteemed speakers to honor the occasion. But what exactly is human intelligence, and where does it stem from? While some might jestingly claim their brain resides in their knee, there's a profound truth underlying the notion. Every human body is composed of cells, each possessing its own intelligence. From the neurons firing in our brains to the muscles that remember the intricacies of our movements, intelligence permeates every aspect of our being. Our ability to store memories, learn, and adapt is a testament to the incredible intelligence inherent within us. Furthermore, human intelligence is a multifaceted phenomenon, influenced by a myriad of factors including biology, culture, and individual experiences. It's imperative that we recognize and celebrate the diverse array of talents and abilities within both genders, fostering an environment that promotes equal opportunities for intellectual growth and development. As we commemorate International Women's Day, let us pledge to ignite change from within. Let us champion inclusivity, inspire one another, and pave the way for a brighter, more equitable future. #TeamInnomotics #JoinReliableMotion #InspireInclusion 🌟🚺🌟
