🌊 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🇫🇷 On November 28, we had the pleasure of hosting the French Ambassador, Mr. Emmanuel G. F. MIGNOT. Accompanying him were Mr. Emmanuel Rimbert, Cooperation and Cultural Action Advisor, and Mr. Gabriel Voisin-Moncho, Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation. 🚢 The delegation began their visit at our state-of-the-art simulator center, where they experienced the thrill of navigating a vessel under various conditions—a highlight for many guests unfamiliar with sailing. 🔬 Our Research and Development Director, Kristel Toom, provided an insightful overview of the academy's research groups. The discussions centered on key areas of shared interest, including security, logistics, new technologies, and environmental challenges. 🛡️ Dan Heering and Ric Lugo, PhD introduced the Maritime Cybersecurity Centre MariCybERA ERA Chair, detailing its focus on cyber risk and innovative research areas. Yigit Gülmez, Muhammed Erbas and Ahmed­­­­͏؜. Nasr­ presented their cutting-edge research, contributing to the conversation on maritime technology and safety. 📦 Kristin Kerem and Seçil GÜLMEZ shared updates from the Maritime Transport Research Group, highlighting the impactful work being done through the REISFER - INTERREG Central Baltic Project and BALTIC-FIT - Horizon Europe project. 🌐 The visit underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing critical issues in maritime research and innovation. We look forward to fostering a closer partnership with our French colleagues! 🤝
