When we have to harden a specific area in a flexible circuit board, we use stiffeners. What is the use of stiffeners for FPC❔ ⭕Mechanically support specific areas of the circuit board containing SMT and/or PTH components. ✅Maintain the required thickness in the flexible circuit board. ⭕Support FPC components and connectors, ✅Confine flexible parts to rigid areas as required. ⭕Facilitates better handling of thin circuit boards. ✅Keep certain areas of the flexible circuit board flat and stable ⭕Meets zero insertion force (ZIF) connector specifications. ✅Increase the bending radius of the circuit at the intersection of the rigid and flexible parts to avoid stress on the flexed parts during multiple bending operations.

Solder Mask Thickness: On conductor side edges : > 7 micron (t1). On conductor top : > 7 micron (t2). Maximum Soldermask thickness can be up to 40µm for 35µm finished copper thickness. For higher final copper thicknesses, the Soldermask thickness can be up to 80µm

Have you had a tip that would not allow you to solder? This is called dewetting. Dewetting is caused by covering the outer surface of the tip. This may be caused by contamination or corrosion. Instead of adhering to the tip, the solder balls up. This prevents efficient heat transfer necessary for good soldering. A good tip should be straight and shiny. A dewetted tip is dark and may be bent due to the operator using manual pressure to achieve better soldering. If you have these issues, contact me. https://lnkd.in/eDVCQ9Xg #electronicsmanufacturing
