"Drug-relate violence" is an interesting issue. The question is to define and identify what we are talking about. - A) We have the violence by drug dealers (basically related to the fact that some substances were declared "illegal", creating automatically a criminal market). - B) We have also the violence caused by the enforcement of drug prohibition among vulnerable communities and social groups. It can be recalled that some social groups are stigmatized/criminalized due to their race or other characteristics.... and the drug prohibition enforcement laws are one of the main tools to practically apply that criminalization (e.g. young black people in United States, etc) It would be very interesting to know if this conference will address seriously these issues

Reflecting on today's shocking news. Can we make a difference? The tragic death of United Healthcare's CEO, Brian Thompson, leaves us questioning the world we live in. How do we even begin to make it better? My heart goes out to the family. I'm praying for them. 🙏 In moments like these, we're reminded of our shared humanity. We ask ourselves: - How can we improve? - How can we prevent such tragedies? - How can we contribute to a safer world? But we must act together to make a real impact.
