🚀 *How Could We Possible Be Able To Create Job Opportunities In A High Unemployment Rate?* 🌍 I Don't think a day goes by without me thinking of South Africa's crumbling economy and if I'll be able to take care of my daughter and myself. Would I be part of the people who will juggle multiple projects just to make one salary? This reality gives me anxiety but nonetheless I'm part of those people already. -After being unemployed for over 5 years in 2018 I took up the role of selling and providing different services just to survive and have an income. I won't lie I believe it's part of the reason I was diagnosed with depression and adhd in 2021. What hurt the most was I didn't have a job description and "hustler" was what I could tell my family and friends. That season was beneficial it fostered an attitude of job creation and not waiting for employment. - I saved enough to completed my Diploma In journalism, after my graduation I embraced the gig economy. I still don't have proper job description 😂 😄 -My passion is to see others take hold of opportunities and creating employment by ending poverty in Africa. I can't do it alone, I can only plug my community with opportunities. I BRING YOU AfrikLink! - AfrikLink is a professional networking platform connecting Africa's talent with global opportunities. it's another time to remind everyone of us that in less than one decade Africa will be ushering over 1.1 billion young people into the labour market. so the question is how prepared are we to make sure that these young people are engaged without issues of job congections in the continent. Africa will be richer in man power, richer in technical advancements but how much efforts are we putting in place to make these professionals jobs to accommodate these young professionals.

"We’ve been fortunate in recent months to have advertised several job openings at Crickmay. Personally, reviewing every CV submitted has been a humbling and inspiring process at the same time. It’s clear that some are submitted out of desperation, others out of naivety, but there are some that make me think “How do I employ all of them?". I’ve been left with an overwhelming sense, that South Africa has great potential. Its potential is not found in politics, mineral resources, a 4th industrial revolution, or great systems even though AI may be the buzzword at the moment - our potential lies in the ability of our people, their resilience, and their background. I look at our team and believe we are blessed to have each one of them. As we continue to grow, I’m excited to unlock this potential regardless of whether the person managed to attend college on the back of their mother’s domestic work wages, or they attended a prestigious private school. At the end of the day, for me at least, it is all about heart and I think there is bucket loads of that in us mere South Africans. Each time we employ someone, or help another business improve and grow so they can employ others, means that we are chipping away at our seemingly insurmountable unemployment. So here is to people potential, heart, South Africanness and making a difference with data.” - Musings from our Managing Director, Jayce Lane. #CrickmayandAssociates #MakingaDifferencewithData #SouthAfrica #Musings #InformationAge #ArtificialIntelligence #Employment #TechnologicalAdvancements #ArtificialIntelligence #Potential #People #Heart #SouthAfricanness #Africa

Mashatile has a say on, why the country is hiring foreigners while millions of South Africans are jobless! During Q&A session, the deputy president acknowledged concerns about prioritising foreign expertise over local talent development, especially in light of the country’s high unemployment rate. “One of the reasons why we source these critical skills on the critical skills list from outside the republic is because the skills that are offered within the country do not always match market requirements." What is your call on this? #SouthAfrica #SouthAfricaJobs #News #LatestNews #UpSkill #JobPortal #JobSeekers

South Africa faces a critical shortage of skills in key areas such as Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and technical trades. This skills gap is a significant barrier to economic growth and employment. By focusing on developing these scarce skills, we can bridge the gap between job seekers and job opportunities, ensuring that individuals are equipped to meet the demands of these high-demand sectors. By preparing individuals for roles in these critical fields, we not only enhance employability but also strengthen the overall economy. Developing a skilled workforce drives sustainable growth and development, creating a more robust and resilient economy. #Eruditio #SkillsDevelopment #ScarceSkills #Employability #SouthAfrica #EconomicGrowth

The major reason unemployment is high in South Africa is this : CULTURE We as young people haven’t understood what it means for a company to hire someone based on will they be a good fit with the culture of the company. Branding and marketing is very important for companies and as young people we need to learn that. I will be sharing about such topics on my YouTube channel. Yes we get it you want to work in Sandton but do you fit the company’s Culture, are you perfect for there marketing approach when they interact with clients?? #unemploymentinSA #ProudlySouthAfrica #YouthOfUS #LetsTalkCulture #AFRICANSDEVELOPINGCINSTANTLY #LETSTALKEMPLOYMENT
