📣 The European Commission has published its Action Plan on reforming research assessment 📣 📖 The Commission has released the Action Plan to implement the ten commitments of the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment (ARRA). In my view, we European researchers should start adding 'European Union' to our affiliation when we sign a paper as an author, just after our country. This could help to make more visible the impact that EU-based research has. I have created the tag #AddEU to promote this idea @ec.europa.eu

'At the European level, Action 17 of the European Research Area policy agenda, which focuses on the value of what it calls “R&I managers”, has given our quest for recognition a new layer of legitimacy,' writes Dipti Pandya, EARMA Chair, for Research Professional News. 📰 'Other institutions should follow the Commission’s lead. At the first session to co-create the RM Roadmap, one piece of feedback was that there is a need for support from government bodies and funding agencies to establish and sustain research management networks and associations.' ❗️ Read the full piece for free on RPN 👀 👇 🔗 https://lnkd.in/d2G_h-kp #researchmanagement #researchadministration #researchsupport #HorizonEU #HorizonEurope #professionalassociation #researchmanagers #researchadministrators #RMAs #EARMAconference

Our newly published #MSCAdvocacy report highlights the diverse participation and performance levels of 26 third countries and regions in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (#MSCA) calls under Horizon 2020 (#H2020). It also underscores the need for strategic adjustments to enhance international cooperation in scientific research. The period between 2014 and 2020 saw the MSCA become a key component of the European Union’s (#EU) scientific and academic international cooperation efforts in the world. MSCAdvocacy’s 150-page analysis reveals that all 26 target countries and regions were involved in various MSCA schemes during H2020, although to varying degrees and with significant differences in nature, extent and consistency of participation. ▶ Strong industrialised countries lead the way ▶ Promising performance from developing countries For further insights, please consult the full report here: https://lnkd.in/e2dgyYuR
