Discover the Power of Transparency for the Energy Transition with Guarantees of Origin! 🌱 At EEX, we are convinced that traceability and transparency are key to accelerating the transition to renewable energy. That's why we're excited to highlight EEX’s registry activities for Guarantees of Origin (GOs), designed to make the use of renewable energy more transparent and traceable. Registries for GOs are standardised systems that allow end consumers to know the exact source of their energy. In 2023, EEX was selected to provide registry services for biogas certificates in France on behalf of the French Ministry in charge of energy issues. Find out more in our latest annual report on biogas GOs: 📈 Volume of French biogas GOs issued in 2023: 7,907,571 GOs (+18% in comparison to 2022) 🌟 Almost all (95%) biogas installations were registered on the French registry end of 2023 📊 >50% of GOs were used in the heating sector (residential sector and process heat for the industry) 📝 Past and upcoming regulatory developments Join us in supporting the energy transition and discover the value of transparency in renewable energy sourcing. We proudly present the design for a biogas plant using waste sludge to create up to 4.5MW electrical output per hour. The plant consists of 2 digesters, each 42m diameter and 8m high. A 3rd tank, post-digester, with the same dimension, will increase the overall efficiency of the plant. The massive Hochreiter mixers will allow for energy efficient and reliable mixing. 3 storage tanks will provide enough volume to store the input material of the 5-day-shift week for the 7-day-operating week. The produced biogas will be used in 3 CHP units, each 1.5MW electrical ouput. We are happy to assist our client to build a Hochreiter biogas plant and to use his "waste"stream to create renewable energy. #biogas #AD #Hochreiter #BiogasHochreiter #RenewableEnergy #Renewables #WastetoEnergy #GreenEnergy

Happy Friday, Network! I’ve recently had some insightful conversations with energy clients, and a recurring topic has been Biogas and Biomethane. 🌱 It’s clear that more companies are exploring these renewable energy sources as part of their sustainability goals. Clients are asking questions like: How does biogas compare to traditional natural gas in terms of cost and efficiency? What role can biomethane play in reducing carbon emissions across industries? How can the regulatory landscape impact future investments in these areas? These are just a few of the questions coming up as the energy landscape continues to evolve. I'm curious to hear from others in the industry: What trends are you seeing? What are your thoughts on the future of biogas and biomethane in the energy mix? Let’s keep the conversation going! 💬 #Energy #Biogas #Biomethane #Renewables #Sustainability #FridayThoughts #ICIS

Net Zero Emissions by 2050: An ambitious goal that demands action. According to the IEA Net Zero Scenario, biogas production must quadruple by 2030. Growth rates are set to accelerate from 19% (2017-2022) to 32% (2023-2028). But we need an even faster pace to achieve the Net Zero objective by 2030. Australia’s Opportunity: Down under, we have a significant chance to enrich our bioenergy portfolio. Let’s integrate bioenergy into our diverse renewable energy mix to ensure Net Zero emissions become a reality. #renewableenergy #netzero #biogas #bioenergy #australia #anaerobicdigestion #biomethane #carbonemissions
