🚨Open for endorsement - Join the call for concrete action on #MentalHealth in the EU! Over the last few years, the EU has developed promising initiatives for mental health. Now, it is time to turn them into concrete actions. Today, on #WorldMentalHealthDay, we join 32 other European organisations in a joint call for substantive actions to shape a Europe where everyone’s mental health thrives across their life course. The Joint Statement, drafted by the European Mental Health Advocacy Platform asks ➡ the European Commission to develop a comprehensive European strategy on mental health, with a clear timeline, adequate budget, and progress indicators. ➡ EU Member States to elaborate plans with a cross-sectoral approach to mental health and develop community-based, recovery-oriented mental health services. ➡ the European Parliament to establish an Intergroup on mental health, ensuring a formal structure to foster exchanges across political groups and strengthen collaboration between Members and civil society. The Joint Statement is open for endorsement by stakeholders until 10 December.
