🚨 Tactical Report: July 13 Israeli Airstrikes on Al-Mawasi On July 13, Israeli airstrikes targeted Al-Mawasi, a designated humanitarian zone 3 km west of Khan Younis, resulting in at least 90 fatalities and nearly 300 injuries. The strikes, described as a ‘precision attack,’ hit multiple sites including residential areas, schools, and medical facilities. Notable damage was reported to Al-Mawasi Primary School and Al-Mawasi Community Health Clinic. In addition, an attack on a prayer hall at a Gaza camp for displaced individuals west of Gaza City resulted in the deaths of at least 10 Palestinians. The IDF identified the airstrikes' primary targets as Mohammed Deif, Hamas’s military chief, and Rafa Salama, the commander of Hamas' Khan Younis Brigade. As of now, it remains uncertain whether Deif was present at the strike location. Humanitarian organizations, including UNRWA, ICRC, and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, are actively mobilizing to provide emergency aid. Stay tuned for further updates as the situation develops. Please review the latest Tactical Report from CIRA, prepared by our MENA Desk. Disarmament and Peace: Ethiopia’s Bold Path to Stability The Ethiopian National Rehabilitation Commission (NRC) has launched the Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) program for former combatants in the Tigray region, marking a critical step toward sustainable peace. Over the next two years, the ambitious plan aims to demobilize and reintegrate 371,000 combatants from across the country. This decisive move is essential for restoring Ethiopia to a state of enduring stability and prosperity. Let’s face the reality: peace is impossible with nearly half a million combatants and uncontrolled weapons scattered across the nation. If we dream of a peaceful, thriving Ethiopia, these fighters must transition through the DDR program and return to productive roles in society. Supporting DDR is not optional—it is a moral imperative. Every Ethiopian must champion this cause, both financially and ideologically, while the role of international donors and peace advocates remains invaluable. Now, ask yourself these questions—10 times, if needed: 1. Do I truly want peace to prevail in Ethiopia? 2. How can I contribute to my country’s peace? 3. What can I do to support the successful implementation of DDR? The message is clear: guns must be laid down, and peace must take their place. Ethiopia’s future depends on it. #EthiopiaPeace #DDRforStability #DisarmamentNow #SupportPeace #GunsDownPeaceUp

#Iran and #Israel: Unprecedented direct strikes October witnessed the most serious direct confrontation between Iran and Israel to date. On 1 October, Iran’s IRGC fired approximately 180 ballistic missiles at Israel, striking multiple locations, including near Tel Aviv. In retaliation, Israel launched precise airstrikes on 26 October, targeting military infrastructure across 13 Iranian provinces. These strikes weakened Iran’s radar and air defense systems, leaving it potentially more vulnerable to future attacks.
