We’re so excited for the PLAYcemaking Warehouse at this year’s Evergreen Conference on October 9 & 10! With a rotating range of bite-sized activities, you’ll have the opportunity to connect in small groups and get inspired by simple, low-barrier placemaking activations that you can implement in your own community. Join us at the PLAYcemaking Warehouse for the activation “Designing Spaces with Children: Wheatpasting our Collective Ideas,” presented by Annie Vandenberg, OCT and Paula Gallo from @recreateplace. This activation asks, how can we engage children in co-designing their public spaces? You’ll explore how arts and nature-based methods can encourage and empower children to share their creative visions. We’ll create a collaborative installation using an eco-friendly and readily accessible wheat paste application, that reflects our ideas for joyful, inclusive public spaces. You’ll learn practical techniques for making engagement experiences meaningful and experiential for children.
