Evergreen Canada’s Post

We’re so excited for the PLAYcemaking Warehouse at this year’s Evergreen Conference on October 9 & 10! With a rotating range of bite-sized activities, you’ll have the opportunity to connect in small groups and get inspired by simple, low-barrier placemaking activations that you can implement in your own community.    Join us at the PLAYcemaking Warehouse for the activation “Designing Spaces with Children: Wheatpasting our Collective Ideas,” presented by Annie Vandenberg, OCT and Paula Gallo from @recreateplace.    This activation asks, how can we engage children in co-designing their public spaces? You’ll explore how arts and nature-based methods can encourage and empower children to share their creative visions. We’ll create a collaborative installation using an eco-friendly and readily accessible wheat paste application, that reflects our ideas for joyful, inclusive public spaces. You’ll learn practical techniques for making engagement experiences meaningful and experiential for children.    Learn more about placemaking experiences at the Evergreen Conference: https://lnkd.in/gWfDeVnn     About Recreate Place:    Recreate Place provides strategic planning, facilitation, and program design services for communities and organizations to engage children and youth in the creation of more sustainable and inclusive spaces. They create age-appropriate experiences for children and youth to impact the designs, plans and decisions affecting their community’s outdoor spaces.      #EvergreenBrickWorks #Toronto #Climate #Placemaking #PublicSpace #UrbanDesign #UrbanPlanning
