Tomorrow (August 15th) is National Check the Chip Day! No matter how careful you are, there's always that chance that your cat will slip outside and go missing. And every year, thousands of cats end up in shelters with no way to get home because they aren't chipped, or the chip information is out of date. Here's some things you can do for Check the Chip Day: *Find your cat's chip registration information and make sure that it's up to date with current contact numbers. *Visit the vet clinic with your cat and ask them to do a chip check. It takes just a few minutes to make sure that the chip is functioning correctly. (Call ahead and let them know you're coming!) *Consider donating funds to your local shelter or animal rescue to help cover the cost of some microchips, or, if someone you know needs to microchip their cat, consider "gifting" the cost to them. #nationalcheckthechipday #everycathealth #cathealth #cat #cats #felinehealth #felinemedicine

Donations to Fire Stations, Animal Shelters, etc. Check before you bring (Donations of Food and other items) ANIMAL SHELTERS - check before you go. Many are overloaded with donations so best to check with sites closest to the fires FIRE DEPARTMENTS, FIRST RESPONDERS, ETC. People mean well but are sadly getting turned away with fresh food since there is an overwhelming generosity and outpouring of support. They just cannot consume it fast enough. WHO TO CALL Sometimes calling your local American Red Cross Central California Region is the best way to find out where supplies and support is needed if you want to donate or help. REMINDER to check before you bring items and food to drop off VOLUNTEER Help is always needed

Happy National Feed a Rescue Pet Week! Here at CUDDLY, we feed rescue pets every single day, but for this year’s National Feed A Rescue Pet Week, we’re partnering with Petcurean to go the extra mile. For every $20 donated through One-Time Donation, Petcurean will gift an additional meal to rescue dogs in need. An estimated 6M companion animals enter US shelters each year, making food a top priority. Many animals enter the care of shelters and rescues greatly in need of nutritional support. However, the cost of keeping these deserving pups fed can be astronomical. High-quality and nutritious meals from Petcurean not only have ample health benefits but can also provide comfort during a potentially stressful and overwhelming time. It’s Giving Tuesday! If you’re like me and unemployed, it may be hard to think of ways to give. Here’s a list of what I thought of that isn’t monetary. 1. Volunteer your time because who has more time than an unemployed person 2. Donate items you no longer need such as jackets, blankets or even cans from your pantry 3. Raise awareness for a charity…read below In the spirit of giving, I want to tell you about Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue. They are a local foster-based rescue. Truth be told, I’ve adopted two dogs from them. One of which was a foster fail. If you’re interested in learning more about them, visit:

hello everyone 🤗 Donating dogs or providing financial support for dogs is a noble cause aimed at improving animal welfare. Here's a brief overview: 1. Dog Donation: This involves gifting a dog to an individual, family, or organization in need, such as service dogs for disabled individuals or therapy dogs for emotional support. Ensure the recipient is capable of providing proper care. 2. Monetary Support: Financial donations help shelters, rescue organizations, or NGOs to care for stray or abandoned dogs. Funds are used for food, medical treatments, spaying/neutering, and adoption efforts. Always research and choose reputable organizations to ensure your contributions make a meaningful impact. #donationtodog #donate #dogslifemakegood

How to Help Animals: The Humane Society of the United States’ has set up an Emergency Animal Relief Fund to help transport animals abandoned at their homes or in shelters to safety. How to Provide Meals: World Central Kitchen has been working overtime to provide fresh water and meals to families in affected areas. If you live in surrounding areas, you can also donate to local food banks. How to Help Hospitals: Direct Relief, is a non-profit that works with more than 175 companies to provide medical supplies, vaccines and antibiotics to hospitals located in disaster zones. Other Ways to Help: If you are unable to provide a donation, there are other ways to spread love and provide help! Our continued prayers and support go out to all who have been affected by these tragic events.

✋🏼PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE✋🏼 Last week I spoke about how proud I was to be part of IAPWA and how, without a huge Marketing Budget, we passionately created a campaign, out of kindness and belief in this cause. What I didn't mention is that I volunteer for IAPWA. Yes I have a 'title' that may suggest otherwise, but the truth is, most of our small team are made up from volunteers, kindly giving up precious hours in their week who have joined our tribe and tirelessly working to provide a brighter future for animals 🙏🏼 I also mentioned how powerful 'Word Of Mouth' was as a tool to get a positive message out to an audience. Being honest, that backfired on me! Why? Well no-one spread the IAPWA word. 🤯 In a world where we are overwhelmed with social content, its easy to understand why people scroll on by or algorithm's don't always go in your favour. Let's face it, without money to throw into advertising, it is tough! But you won't see IAPWA doing TV ads, sending postal updates, giving you a cuddly toy.. Even if we did have the money, we still wouldn't, because that money can go direct to the animals in need and thats exactly what we do. With IAPWA your donation is invested directly into animals in need today and in building a brighter future for animals tomorrow. If you have read this far..THANK YOU.. I am almost done! ☕️Can you spare £2.31 a week (less than a shop brought coffee)? Or 📣Can you help us spread the IAPWA word? Either will take less time out of your day, than it did to read this, but we would be eternally grateful for your kindness. Help me restore faith in 'Word of Mouth'
Want to get your week off to a positive start? Stop scrolling - we need your help. If you've got two minutes to spare, you can help us change the lives of animals across the world. 🌎🐾 Here at IAPWA, we've been working tirelessly since 2009 to support thousands of animals who desperately need our help. But now we really need yours. As a small charity, the amount of animals we can save is completely dependent on you - our compassionate, animal loving supporters. From building sanctuaries to providing emergency relief, your donations fuel our lifesaving work and make a genuine difference to the animals who need us. By pledging £2.31 a week (less than a cup of coffee! ☕) you can help us save animals in need and become an integral part of our legacy of change and compassion. National Animal Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week is a time to honor the incredible work of shelters and rescues across the country. Here are some ways you can show your appreciation: Donate • Monetary donations: Even a small amount can make a big difference. • Supply donations: Donate essential items like food, litter, toys, blankets, and cleaning supplies. • Volunteer your time: Offer your skills to help with tasks like cleaning, walking dogs, or fostering animals. Adopt • Adopt a pet: Giving a homeless animal a loving home is one of the best ways to show appreciation. • Foster a pet: If you can't commit to a permanent adoption, consider fostering a pet temporarily.
