Really interesting finding 📑 : (1/5) At high curved membrane tether (retracting fibers), Tspan7 are more enriched. Like cells, GUV-based in-vitro reconstitution also shows enriched-Tspan7 on tubular membranes. FRAP shows Tspan7 is immobilized after concentrating on fibers.

We have installed a manual TIRF illuminator (fcTIRF) on this simultaneous dual-color TIRF imaging system. The imaging software #VisiView was configured to stream images from Prime 95B camera and also send triggering signal sequentially to two OBIS lasers. All the above can be configured on the manual inverted microscope IX73, which makes the whole setup very cost-effective even for single molecule FRET experiments.

Designed to provide stable illumination from 380 – 780 nm, Thorlabs’ new Xenon Arc Light Sources generate a broad spectrum that overlaps with common filter sets for biological imaging, including fluorescence microscopy. The SLS603 and SLS605 light sources couple light from the xenon lamp into the included LLG with a Ø3 mm or Ø5 mm core, respectively. The Ø3 mm light guide provides a beam with higher brightness, while higher total power is coupled into the Ø5 mm LLG. These light sources can be controlled using the front panel LCD or remotely via USB, allowing for continuous adjustment of light and independent toggling of the shutter state.
