Share your experiences and support one another in creating a more understanding world. 🤝 Seek Support: If you or someone you know is struggling, remember that it's okay to ask for help. Reach out to our team at Evoke Wellness—we're here for you. 📚 Educate Yourself: Learn about the unique challenges faced by minority communities regarding mental health. Breaking the Silence: Empowering Mental Health in South Asian Communities Growing up, dinner conversations with family were always carefully curated sanctuaries of safety. We gravitated towards topics that guaranteed smiles and nods, sidestepping the tougher discussions for another time—or perhaps, never broaching them at all. Interactions were safe, predictable, and seemingly content. I realize that this is all too common in South Asian families. I've seen how the stigma around discussing emotional well-being not only deepens the struggles we keep hidden but also cuts us off from the essential support that could make a difference. Changing this cultural narrative is not an overnight task, but each small step is a stride towards a healthier, more emotionally honest community. At Sama Health, we are dedicated to rewriting these hidden stories. Our therapists, well-versed in both clinical practice and cultural nuances, provide a welcoming space where your voices are heard, and your identity is respected. Join us in this vital dialogue to reshape how mental health is viewed in our communities. Share your experiences, spread this message, or engage in the conversation below. Every voice that joins this chorus helps illuminate the path for others still in the shadows. Together, we can light the way to mental wellness and build a community where no story goes unheard. 💪💖 #GenerationalTrauma #SouthAsianPerspective #Healing #SamaHealth #MentalHealthMatters

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a national observance started in 1949 to bring attention to the importance of mental health and wellness. Across the country, individuals and organizations step up to raise awareness of and help address the challenges faced by people living with mental health conditions. May is an important month of observation where the world comes together to shed light on the importance of maintaining mental wellness. Together, we can continue to have open dialogue to spread awareness, reduce stigma, and increase access and support for those seeking mental healthcare services. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we will be sharing thoughts from members of our organization as to why they started a career in behavioral health, challenges that must be addressed and how we, as industry leaders, can continue to improve access and equality of care. #MayMentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #ThisisHorizonHealth #HorizonHealth #BehavioralHealthSolutions

As we approach the year-end festivities—a time of joy but also, for many, increased stress—our commitment to mental well-being remains stronger than ever. Prioritising mental health goes beyond any single day or month; it’s a journey we’re committed to walking together, with our employees as well as our patients and the public. A key part to this is breaking down the myths and misconceptions that surround mental health. In this video, Dr Prem Kumar Nair, IHH Healthcare Group CEO, challenges common mental health myths, inviting us to approach well-being with fresh perspectives and an open mind. Meanwhile at IHH, creating a healthier, more inclusive workplace is an ongoing effort. By fostering awareness and empathy, we’re building a culture where everyone feels valued and supported. As we wrap up the year, let’s continue championing mental health, encouraging understanding, and inspiring open conversations. #MentalHealthMatters #IHHHealthcare #CareForGood #MentalWellbeing #InclusiveWorkplace #MentalHealthAwareness #YearEndWellbeing
