Our first published manuscript of 2024! 🎉 Posterior cranial fossa surgery, quite literally brain surgery, is associated with complications and requires sealants. We adapted a budget impact model to compare the use of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based hydrogel versus standard of care fibrin glue in five European countries. The savings between the countries differed but in all countries the use of PEG hydrogels was a viable and cost-effective alternative to fibrin glue. Neuronavigation is the set of computer-assisted technologies used by neurosurgeons to guide or "navigate" within the confines of the skull or vertebral column during surgery, and used by psychiatrists to accurately target rTMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation). The set of hardware for these purposes is referred to as a neuronavigator.

Here is a video that focuses on the hiatal dissection and oesophageal and gastric mobilisation during a surgery for reflux. A correct dissection of the hiatus with no vagal injury and oesophageal mobilisation are very important for the good outcome of this surgery.
