🌍 Did you know you can customise the globe and background colour in SKAND's 3D scene? With our Globe Control feature, you can easily manage how the globe is rendered and tweak the background to suit your project needs. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can do: View Modes: ⬛ Default View: Globe off for easy layer focus. 🗺️ 2D Aerial Map: Flat map with street or satellite views. 🌐 3D Terrain: Real-world elevation with Cesium World Terrain. 🌏 Google Earth Globe (Enterprise Plan): Get detailed, photorealistic urban models. Customise Your Scene: 📡 Choose map types from Street Map and Satellite Imagery. 🎨 Change background colours to enhance clarity. Your settings are saved locally, ensuring your customisations remain intact! Learn more in our full help article and take control of the 3D scene: https://lnkd.in/gyrBup_B #3DMapping #Customisation #GlobeControl #SKAND #GeoVisualisation #UrbanModels #DigialTwin #3DVisualisation #CivilEngineering #3DModels #GoogleEarth

Spectral Rendering... A lot of what makes this render stand out is the richness in subtle hue variation made possible by a render engine with a well-thought-out spectral rendering implementation. If you're currently relying on RGB-only systems like Renderman or Arnold, I highly recommend exploring Bella, Octane, or other spectral render engines to see what you might be missing. When it comes to spectral rendering, the devil is in the details. The process of auto-expanding from RGB to spectral power distribution (SPD) can sometimes feel like a trade-off between control and benefit. However, Bella stands out with its elegant handling of complex IORs and SPDs, providing them as convenient presets in addition to auto-expansion from RGB to SPD. The preset for SPDs currently covers a wide array of light sources, and IORs are a decent list of materials from glass to metals. If you prefer Carotine under a Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash you are in luck as both preset lists are user-expandable. In an age dominated by Diffusion techniques, it’s easy to overlook the valuable potential still present in traditional light transport methods. Invisible Stitch: Generating Smooth 3D Scenes with Depth Inpainting 🖌 🖌 🖌 This paper addresses the challenges of 3D scene generation, noting the limitations of existing methods that rely on stitching generated frames with pre-existing geometry and monocular depth estimation. It introduces two key contributions: a novel depth completion model that enhances geometric coherence by considering the existing scene geometry, and a new benchmarking scheme based on ground truth geometry to evaluate scene structure quality. These contributions aim to improve the accuracy and realism of 3D scene generation techniques, moving beyond traditional text-based evaluation metrics. project: https://lnkd.in/debmmUcJ paper: https://lnkd.in/dDpgb4UZ code: https://lnkd.in/dEjMCKiH demo: https://lnkd.in/dTrZT4fV #3DSceneGeneration #GenerativeModels #DepthCompletion #GeometryCoherence #SceneStructure #AIResearch #TechInnovation #Benchmarking #GroundTruthGeometry #RealismEnhancement
