Spectral Rendering... A lot of what makes this render stand out is the richness in subtle hue variation made possible by a render engine with a well-thought-out spectral rendering implementation. If you're currently relying on RGB-only systems like Renderman or Arnold, I highly recommend exploring Bella, Octane, or other spectral render engines to see what you might be missing. When it comes to spectral rendering, the devil is in the details. The process of auto-expanding from RGB to spectral power distribution (SPD) can sometimes feel like a trade-off between control and benefit. However, Bella stands out with its elegant handling of complex IORs and SPDs, providing them as convenient presets in addition to auto-expansion from RGB to SPD. The preset for SPDs currently covers a wide array of light sources, and IORs are a decent list of materials from glass to metals. If you prefer Carotine under a Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash you are in luck as both preset lists are user-expandable. In an age dominated by Diffusion techniques, it’s easy to overlook the valuable potential still present in traditional light transport methods. Drafting a sci-fi scene in Blender! This project features a lush, Earth-like planet as the centerpiece, surrounded by towering, futuristic skyscrapers. I'm using Blender's powerful particle systems to generate a cityscape teeming with towering structures. This allows for incredible detail and efficiency, creating a vast array of unique buildings that hug the alien landscape surrounding the Earth-like planet. The centerpiece of this sci-fi environment is an Earth-like planet brought to life with a combination of procedural textures. By utilizing a Voronoi texture for the base, I'm adding a touch of organic irregularity. Noise textures provide additional detail, and a color ramp refines the color scheme. The Principled BSDF shader offers precise control over the planet's material properties, with an Emission node adding a subtle internal glow. Finally, a Mix Shader allows for further customization, ensuring the planet feels truly unique within this futuristic scene. Engine: Cycles Device: GPU Compute Render: 100 samples (per frames) Frames: 250 #b3d #scifi #environment #3dart #blendercommunity #proceduraltextures #voronoitextures #noisetextures #colorramp #principledbsdf #emissionshader #mixshader #materialnodes

👀 #FStormRender and #Maxwell are two GPU render engines for architects and designers. As a GPU-based plugin made exclusively for 3ds Max, FStormRender is renowned for its speed, quality, and ease of use. Maxwell, on the other hand, is a standalone and plugin-based render engine known for its outstanding physical accuracy. In the article below, iRender compares FStormRender with Maxwell to see where each renderer excels and which may fit you better. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gPf8vfBM

Did you know that you can have multiple viewports with ShapeDiver? This is handy, especially when dealing with complex models.
Would you like to recreate Rhino's default viewport on your online application? 🦏 Sometimes, one angle is just not enough to fully appreciate all the complexity of a 3D model. That’s why with ShapeDiver, it is possible to have an online application with multiple viewports to show various angles of the same model. In the video below, I recreated the classic Rhino viewport, but you can, of course, customize everything to your liking. This can include any combination and sizes of viewports. Would you use this exact layout or a different one? How do you set up your viewports in Rhino? Let me know in the comments!
