TAcc+ is a popular accelerator in Taiwan, which undertakes international exhibitions and training programs from the government. There is a core idea that guides startups to find the product market fit from the TAcc+ - 3 phase of CDE. CDE 1 - Customer Exploring How do we find the early evangelists in the niche market? What is the demand of early evangelists, is it big enough to benefit from exponential growth? CDE 2 - Customer Identifying What is the sales roadmap that our customer behavior from aware to buying? How do we track the dynamic change of the market and the intention of potential customers by digitization? We must observe and design our position according to different markets and broaden the influence from suitable entry points.

Thanks to University of Vermont, UVM Innovations, MedTech Collaborative for hosting, Manafall for sponsoring the catering, and to all that showed up in person and virtually. This was a fun and engaging discussion, thanks to Dr. David Schneider and Roger Labrecque for sharing their thoughts, experiences and journey transitioning brilliant ideas to market. This was the first of many collaborative events we'll be bringing to Burlington, VT. Some key takeaways from our discussion: 1) Basic research at academic and clinical centers is fertile ground for future innovations. There is a strong need to build the infrastructure necessary to help to translate these ideas, and to streamline the process from ideation to commercialization. 2) Derisking innovation early and often. Leveraging and utilizing your network and resources to help further your ideas along even at the ideation phase. Be resourceful! Leverage university and ecosystem (e.g. MedTech Collaborative and/or association) networks to find the help you need. 3) IP is vital. Work with tech transfer offices to help find the balance between need to publish/research presentations and building a strong IP strategy 4) Align research outcomes with market opportunities - never too early to engage with key stakeholders (e.g. patient - provider - payor) and remember to consult with manufacturers, regulatory, and strategics to ensure you have a holistic view of the market opportunity #innovation #ecosystems #medtech
