#WeAreHiring Role: Business Development Executive - Treasury Years of Experience: minimum of three (3) years in the role  Report To: Head, Treasury and Asset Management Unit *Experience in financial sector of the economy, especially banks or finance/investment houses.* Objectives * To grow the company's earnings through the creation of quality assets and the generation of borrowings for the company. Core Functions * Primarily responsible for growing the company’s earnings through marketing and the generation of borrowings. * Maintain excellent client service for existing/goodwill accounts through good relationship management. * Draw and design a robust marketing plan for all staff attached to the team and ensure that individual targets are met. * Ensure appropriate pricing of our deposit liabilities and reporting to management the industry trends from time to time. * Involve actively in product review/development and design formidable strategies for penetrating into new markets. * Give a quarterly report of the current trend analysis / changes in the economy and advise the management from time to time. * Come up with appropriate, administrative, funding, and marketing structures of the investment function. This should provide room for feasible growth that will achieve the autonomy of this function. * Make submission on a weekly basis at management meeting or enterprise risk /  investment committee, MCC meeting on possible mandate for review and consideration. * Develop a robust marketing plan and strategy on a yearly basis. * Submit on a quarterly basis updated review of Marketing strategies and plan. * Write a weekly progress report on marketing efforts. * Submit a monthly report on achieved targets according to sector, product, etc. * Regularly assist the Unit Head, from time to time and proffer strategic solutions on how to strengthen the operation and improve efficiency. * Give a monthly report on new facilities and treasury consummated/generated by sector, product, average lending rate, and tenor to enable management make an informed decision. * Develop at least one (1) new product on a half-yearly basis. * Monitor government fiscal and monetary policies and advise the Management on their effects and strategies to hedge against them. * Recommend concessions on deposit rates, and communicate to Management all cost of takings/borrowings giving tenor and amount. * Undertake special assignments and ad-hoc activities as may be required from time to time by the Managing Director/CEO. RECOVERIES MANAGER DURBAN Key Responsibilities • Monitor the consultants to ensure that the team achieves all targets set by follow up of individual performance targets. • Sign off all client arrangements in line with mandates set by the company. • Manage and lead a team of consultants to achieve agreed targets or goals. • Identify and Implement Key Performance Factors for the team, which must be measurable. • Adherence to internal processes and accuracy • The holding costs of PIP's with regards to maintenance costs and guard fees must be minimized. • Effectively manage the Bad Debt portfolio • Focus on increasing cash flow. Ensure that all steps in the recovery process have been adhered to. • Effectively manage Sell Assist / Marketing & Private offers with shortfalls/losses • Ensure quick turnaround times for Sell Assist properties, Marketing instructions & offers received with shortfalls. Ensure valuations are updated and correct. Check loss calculations & motivations are correct. • Focus on increasing cash flow and minimizing legal fees. Adopt a stringent approach with regards to the recovery process. • To proceed with legal action immediately, if client does not settle the arrears or defaults on an arrangement. • Once Judgment is obtained and there is no prospects of cashflow, the balance should be written off to bad debt and review hand over to outsourced collection company (if applicable). • Focus on increasing cash flow and minimizing legal fees. • Adopt a stringent approach with regards to the recovery process. • To proceed with legal action immediately, if client does not settle the arrears or defaults on an arrangement. • Once Judgment is obtained and there is no prospects of cashflow, the balance should be written off to bad debt and review hand over to outsourced collection company (if applicable). • Set clear expectations for the team.
