Lebanon is facing an unthinkable catastrophe — a nation is being systematically erased, its people subjected to mass extermination. Where are the voices of the world? Where are the human rights defenders? Where are the Muslims as mosques are reduced to rubble in Lebanon? Where are the doctors and nurses as hospitals, ambulances, and aid workers are being bombed, leaving the wounded to die without help? Where is the international community while Israel rains down banned explosives on innocent civilians? How can you remain silent in the face of such horror? The world must not turn its back on the people of Lebanon. Your silence is complicity. This is not just an attack on a country. It is an attack on humanity itself. If you believe in justice, in life, and in human dignity, now is the time to stand up and be counted. Do something before it’s too late. #SaveLebanon #StopTheGenocide #LebanonUnderAttack #HumanRightsForAll #ActNow #GlobalResponsibility

Yesterday marked 13 years since the start of a conflict that has left hundreds of thousands dead and millions more displaced or missing in Syria. In this video, MENA researcher, Houssam al-Nahhas, MD, MPH, discusses his journey and continued work on Syria. PHR is calling on governments around the world to set firm parameters that center accountability for perpetrators of atrocities, reveal the truth about Syria's missing and disappeared, and seek justice for victims. 🛑 5 Things You Need to Know About Israel’s War in Lebanon. Israel is once again rejecting global calls for a ceasefire. But this time, they’re not for Gaza. They’re for Lebanon – where Israel has now launched a violent and reckless escalation in their almost year-long cross-fire battle with Hezbollah. Israel of course took that cross-fire to a whole new level last week, when they made hundreds of pagers suddenly explode across Lebanon after planting explosives in them, injuring thousands and killing a dozen people, including two children and four healthcare workers. Not only did Israel then continue to set off even more explosives in Lebanon, in what they claimed was the targeting of Hezbollah fighters, they went even further, launching the most horrific and deadly airstrikes in Lebanon yet, killing even more civilians and overwhelming the country’s hospitals. As Israel engages in a new wave of blatant propaganda to try and justify the spilling of even more Arab blood, Mehdi unpacks Israel’s “violent and reckless” assault on Lebanon and the false propaganda behind it. Here are the five things that they’re not telling you about their horrific assault on Lebanon; the five things you need to know to cut through the B.S. Listen to know these five things.

One year on in Gaza and the Palestinian people are still suffering brutal bombardment, displacement and war crimes amounting to genocide at the hands of Israel, with backing from the US and UK. Israel has killed, at least, 41,909 people - that's 1 out of every 55 people in Gaza in the last year alone. Almost 17,000 children killed, with over 19,000 more orphaned. Hospitals, schools and civilian objects have been deliberately targeted. At least 986 medics and 175 media workers killed. 7 mass graves have been uncovered. 96% face lack of food and adequate access to water. And the list goes on. These are just some of the truly horrific crimes committed by Israel in the last year. Over decades the illegal occupation of Palestine has been left unchallenged and the international community has allowed this genocide to unfold with absolute impunity, even providing aid to Israel as they continue their violence, and destabilisation of the region. Keir Starmer and the labour government yesterday said they will not stop arming Israel - even in the face of all this, in the face of the staggering scale of the killing and destruction in Gaza, and now the invasion of Lebanon. But we will not stop our legal fight to end all arms exports to Israel and we are exploring criminal accountability for individuals within government. We don’t know who killed Pascal Sleiman. But what we know is that we will believe the official version only when a transparent investigation is out. That even if it turns out not be political, there are sadly, many reasons to consider this scenario today. What we know is that nine months ago, a similar assassination happened, when Elias Hasrouni was killed in the South. That Mounir Abou Rjeily, Lokman Slim, Joe Bejjani were the last ones to be killed following this same pattern. That no investigation was ever done let alone made public. What we know is that, as long as there are weapons out of control and no judiciary, people will always find a reason to react this way. As long as there are actors hindering the state, those assassinations will happen - just like they always did in the modern history of Lebanon. Meanwhile, beating Syrian refugees is not an answer. The only answer to this is not revenge, nor religious strife. It is the rule of law.

The UK government is still arming Israel. Even as doctors working in Gaza report consistently treating preteen children and even toddlers with sniper wounds to the head and chest, on an almost daily basis. Even as Israeli forces target hospitals and health workers, and have left the health system in ruins. Our powerful film made with Al-Haq Organisation | مؤسسة الحق & Artists for Palestine UK was projected onto St Thomas’ Hospital in central London featuring British actor Khalid Abdalla sharing the harrowing testimony of Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah from his time in Gaza. Attacking hospitals is a war crime, and every day there are more atrocities. The UK must finally end its complicity in Israeli genocide and end all UK arms exports that could be used by Israel, including parts for the deadly F-35 fighter jet. Listen to the doctors of Gaza. Support our urgent legal fight to stop the UK arming Israel now at: glan.live/war-crimes #gaza #doctors #warcrimes #genocide #uklaw #Palestine #israel #atrocitycrimes #humanrights #israel
