Do you really think co-workers share stories and job openings without giving something in return? The answer is yes. They do, as long as they stand behind the story or the content you ask them to share. Authentic content makes the whole difference. Dare to create authentic stories. Dare to use pictures of your workforce, not stock-pictures. You will quickly see that this type of content is much more appreciated internally and externally. The fact that they share is very important, whatever network they have, because everybody can make a difference. Social Seeder #employerbranding #employeeengagement #employeeadvocacy

There’s a new era of early careers marketing… have you heard of Employer Generated Content? ⚡ EGC is a type of user-generated content that puts your employees front and centre of your marketing. Instead of faceless advertising, it shares individual’s stories and experiences of their time at your company. It gives potential applicants insight into your business and enables them to build connection and trust. Think about how personable your own employer brand is currently coming across - how often are you showcasing your early talent cohort and employees? Students shared what type of personable content they’d like to see from employers: 🤳 Day in the Life videos 🎤 Q&A videos with key recruiters or hiring managers 💡 Case studies of how students have progressed within your company 🗣 Panel discussions with student employees We know it’s not always easy to create and film your own employee-generated content. That’s why we’ve introduced our new Content Days - a hands off approach, which enables our expert marketing teams to come to your offices and do all the filming, editing and copywriting. We recently generated over 3 million views for one leading bank on LinkedIn. 💥 Want to find out more about how we can support you ahead of the new hiring season? In our latest #ResearchComms newsletter I’ve written about why it pays to think beyond just video when it comes to communicating research. I still see videos and animations as being some of the most powerful tools for sharing ideas. But they often work best when combined with other digital comms tools. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/eXXWy6SE And don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter if you want weekly doses of research comms related content, including articles, inspiration, interviews and more! #research #scicomm #videoproduction

I have a confession to make... (We listen; we don't judge, please.) I just found my very first LinkedIn post few months ago And I can't stop cringing. 😭 It was trying so hard to sound 'professional' that it didn't even sound human The opening line? 'In today's fast-paced business landscape...' *dies inside* But you know what's wild? Those early awkward posts led to: → My first global speaking engagement → Which is still pinned in my featured section → And completely changed my career trajectory Now I'm here, writing this on my phone, just being myself Because that's what actually works And somehow, being real connects better than being perfect To everyone doubting their posts right now: Your voice matters more than you know Those messy first steps? They might just lead you somewhere amazing Now excuse me while I go practice my speaking intro in the mirror 😅 P.S: Want to see more of these behind-the-scenes peeks? ---------------------------------------- Day 87 of 100 days sharing insights on sustainable business growth. Seeing my post for the first time? I'm God'sfavour Agbora 💚 , a Sustainability-driven content marketer, I write content that turns your sustainability story into sales. #SustainableBusiness #sustainbilitymadeeasywithfavour #yourecofriendlygrowthpartner #100dayschallenge #ConsistencyChallengewiththefacebaker

One of the best things I've ever done for my career is "cold ask" people to speak with me. 1. When I wanted to get into social media creation and management in the early years, I reached out to an acquaintance who did it for a Senator. We had lunch and he filled me in, which gave me the confidence to apply for a position in the House Leadership Committee. I got the job and started a long career working in that space. 2. When I got a new position at a magazine helping oversee audience development and social growth, I wanted to speak with someone who had been doing it for a while. I found someone who went to my university on Linked On who worked for a major magazine. I sent her a cold message and simply asked if she'd be willing to answer some questions over the phone. It really helped me find my footing in that position. 3. When I wanted to start writing opinion pieces, I asked someone I knew and respected who did so regularly if she'd be willing to talk with me about how to go about it. She was so generous with her time and ultimately introduced me to her editor at the New York Times, which helped me land 3 pieces in the world's most famous newspaper! Bottom line: Stick your neck out there and figure out what you need to figure out. It's usually not about "going back to school" (at least in the comms world), but gathering real world information and experience. What's one "cold ask" you've tried that worked out for you?
