I note some are calling for all medicines to be listed on the PBS within 60 days of approval by the TGA. A close examination of the agenda for the July 2024 PBAC meeting indicates this will not occur anytime soon. Of the 15 submissions to list a new medicine or new combination product on the PBS, one was registered by the TGA in 2014 and another in 2021. For all medicines to be listed on the PBS within 60 days of TGA approval, all submissions for new medicines will need to be submitted under the TGA-PBAC parallel process. #medicine #marketaccess #timelines #reimbursement #hta #healthtechnology #data #datascience #PBS #PBAC #TGA

I have earned Blackmores Institute CMEd certified badge! Credly by Pearson The Blackmores Institute CMEd Certification badge is awarded to Pharmacists who have completed the CMEd Ingredients and CMEd Health Conditions badges and have successfully completed a case study based final assessment. Earners have applied the knowledge gained in the CMEd certification program to manage common conditions encountered in the pharmacy. This has been achieved through the construction of an integrated management plan incorporating evidence based complementary medicines. #learninganddevelopment #onlinecourses #certification #pharmacists #complementarymedicine

In the Nordic countries the risk from falsified medicines is real, but only when you buy your medicine from unauthorised and illegal sources. If you buy your medicine from an approved pharmacy, you can be confident that your medicine is authentic. The Nordic NMVOs provide secure, straightforward and supportive systems for verifying medicines. The system alerts if a falsified medicine should turn up and warns if medicines already dispensed or destroyed are dispensed. The system can also be used to ensure that packs from recalled batches never reach the patient. This results in an additional quality control in the medicine handling process. Together we help to make sure every individual can have confidence in their medicine. The Nordic NMVOs have recently updated our “Nordic Best Practice” on how to do a Recall or Withdrawal through the EMVS, check it out: In English: https://lnkd.in/drbRF8WG Suomeksi: https://lnkd.in/dTQNtaEv #FightTheFakesWeek2024 #FTFweek #fakemeds #SFs #StopFakeMeds #FightTheFakes
