Quick tips. 1. Ensure that the laps are atleast 50 times the diameter of reinforcement 2. Minimum cover to main reinforcement be: Columns= 40mm Floor beams= 25mm Floor slabs= 20mm Staircase= 20mm Foundations= 50mm #construction.

PEB TERM-16 A Lean-To Building is originally defined as a building in which the rafters lean against another building or wall. Multi-Gable (MG) buildings consist of two or more gable buildings sharing common sidewall columns A Roof System consists of roof rafters, purlins and sheeting specifically designed to install onto a planned or an existing substructure. The substructure is normally made of concrete or masonry

𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 Where a discontinuous shear wall is supported on columns that lack either sufficient strength or deformation capacity, making the wall continuous by 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐬 may be an effective rehabilitation measure. The opening below a discontinuous shear wall may also be infilled with 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠. The infill and existing columns should be designed to satisfy all the requirements for the new wall construction. These rehabilitation measures require an evaluation of the wall foundation, diaphragms, connections between existing structural elements, and any elements added for rehabilitation purposes. A common complication of adding shear walls and braced frames is that they tend to interfere with the building layout, circulation, or fenestration. #RekanDaho

#COLUMN Columns are @structural elements that transmit loads from a structure's slab (the roof or upper floors) to its foundation and the ground beneath it. Often, they are vertically oriented. Columns are used in construction for trusses, building frames, and bridge structure support #CIVILENGINEERING #HARD60DAYCHALLENGE #HARDCORETRAINING #CIVILGURUJI

Slab Casting and Brick raising: Slabcasting is the crucial first step in constructing a building's foundation. It involves pouring a mixture of concrete into a prepared mold or formwork on the ground. This concrete mixture is carefully designed to provide the strength and durability needed to support the entire structure above it. Once poured, the concrete is leveled and smoothed to create a flat surface, forming the base upon which the rest of the building will be erected. In essence, slab casting lays the groundwork for the entire construction project, ensuring stability, longevity, and ultimately, the success of the build. #construction #constructiontips #houseconstruction #bwapconstructioncompany #buildingandstructuralconstruction

SUSPENDED SLAB is a type of structural flooring system commonly used in construction. Here’s how it works: 1. Definition : A suspended slab is a concrete slab that is suspended above the ground rather than being directly in contact with it. 2. Construction : The slab is supported by steel joists or beams, which are in turn supported by columns or walls. These joists or beams create the framework for the slab. 3. Reinforcement : The slab is then reinforced with steel rebar or mesh to provide additional strength and stability. 4. Applications : Suspended slabs are often used for upper floors in houses or buildings. They can also be placed on top of pre-constructed walls to form a ground floor. Overall, suspended slabs are an efficient and cost-effective way to create floors without extensive excavation work. #SuspendedSlab #ConstructionManagement #ProjectManagementProfessional #MasterProjectManager

What is a ground face block? Ground face CMU, or Concrete Masonry Unit blocks, are ground on their face to create a distinctive, rich finish that gives them a unique, natural beauty. Besides the attractiveness of these units, they offer a tremendous advantage in construction as they are maintenance-free. link in the comments below.
