By aligning people, processes, and systems, change management provides the framework to turn climate strategies into measurable outcomes. We can't make organizations more sustainable if people do not embrace and adopt sustainable ways of working. Anybody who knows me knows that I am passionate about environmental sustainability and community impact. I have had the privilege to study this at multiple degree levels, to work in this space, to teach about this topic, and to serve on several boards of impactful organizations looking to make a difference. I have experienced firsthand the challenges organizations face and the very real passion behind this work despite all the challenges. One thing is clear, in order to make a difference, passion and goals need to transform into commitments and action, which then have to be embraced and adopted throughout the organization. It is one thing to adopt sustainable or responsible ways of working out of compliance, but it is a game changer to do so out of commitment.
