The event saw active participation from officers of the Hellenic Police (𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺) and included insightful presentations from two significant EU projects: - FERMI EU 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁: Researching the challenges posed by disinformation (https://lnkd.in/edNM62Ar) - EXODUS EU Project: Exploring methods to protect human rights (https://lnkd.in/eYmuAqf2) During the workshop, LEAs were introduced to the 𝗘𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗦 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 that focus on detecting 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼, 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗳𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀. These tools are crucial in addressing the rise of 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗳𝘁. Additionally, officers were trained on how to utilize 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗜) to extract valuable insights and tackle identity theft more effectively. We were also joined by Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), the coordinator of the EITHOS project, who provided valuable technical support and addressed LEAs' questions. Universidad Politécnica de Madrid contributed with additional technical expertise, ensuring a smooth and effective training experience. Public Safety Communication Europe (PSCE) supported the organization of the workshop, helping to ensure its success. Additionally, Engineering Group from the EITHOS Consortium remotely presented the 𝗘𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗦 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, an important tool to enhance LEAs' capabilities in tackling digital threats. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this training session! Together, we are strengthening efforts to safeguard digital identities and protect citizens. #EITHOS #KEMEA #HellenicPolice #EUProjects #AI #Deepfakes #IdentityTheft #FERMI #EXODUS #LawEnforcement #SecurityStudies #CitizenProtection
