How to do OSCOLA referencing correctly? Insert footnotes and bibliography at the end of your academic work. Bibliography must be divided. You list cases, journal articles, books, online resources, statutes, and international law separately Alphabetical order for every list of literature used in your bibliography. For referencing cases, put the full name of the case in italics+year+citation. Year and citation does not need to be in italics. You reference cases this way both in footnotes and bibliography Statutes can be referenced both in footnotes and bibliography. Full name of the statute+ section in the footnotes. In the bibliography, just the full name of the statute. You can book a one to one class with our tutors if you need help with OSCOLA referencing https://loom.ly/FwK_csc #LegalEducation #LLB #GDL #LPC #LLM #law #lawstudent #firstclasslawdegree #firstclass #exams

Preparing to take the LSAT is one of the most challenging steps in the law school admission process. While you don’t necessarily need a perfect score, achieving a high score can greatly benefit you in the long run. Before you take the test, make sure to be aware of the following details. ⬇️ ⚖️ The LSAT takes about 3 hours and is split into 4 main sections 1. Analytical Reasoning (Logic Games) - starting in August of 2024 this section will be replaced! 2. Reading Comprehension 3. Logical Reasoning 4. An unscored section that may be either of the previous categories (they use this to experiment with new questions). ⚖️ You won’t know which section is the unscored one, so do your best on all of them. ⚖️ Later, you’ll have to schedule a time to complete a writing section that is also unscored. ⚖️ LSAT scores are out of 180. ⚖️ 153 - 50% percentile (roughly) ⚖️ 160 - 77% percentile ⚖️ 165 - 90% percentile ⚖️ 170 - 97% percentile Need assistance with LSAT preparation? Schedule a free call with us, and we'll provide expert guidance tailored to your needs. #lawschool #CorredorCounselors#law #academics #prelaw #LSAT

Great advice for law students. Please ORGANIZE your essay answers. Use IRAC format. Use headings. Use paragraphs. The last thing that your professor wants is a game of "Where's Waldo" when grading your essay answers. You will not be rewarded if you make me search through endless pages of disorganized information to find the key points.
Law students, one of the big differences between a 2.0/C- essay answer and a 3.0/B+ answer is something that has nothing to do with your rules or analysis. It’s organization. When grading essay exams, I first spend 15 seconds flipping through each blue book to see which exams spotted the issues I tested. Exams that make it easy for me to make that determination contain: —bold/underlined issue headings —IRAC (or a solid attempt at it) —paragraph breaks When your professor sees your clearly identified issue, their brain naturally looks for your rule, application of facts to the rule, and conclusion. Put your professors in their happy place when grading your essay and adhere to their thought process and formatting preferences. Let them know you heard them. Make it super easy for your professor to award all those points you deserve by writing each issue in an organized, clear, and consistent manner! #lawstudents #lawstudent #lawschool #prelaw

"In conclusion, a few words on a comparatively humble matter, that of materials. The use of bound lecture notebooks is not to be recom- mended, because they are cumbersome and inelastic. If you use such notebooks and have three or four lectures to attend in a morning, this means a considerable weight and bulk to be carried about. Also, if you want to expand the lecturer's remarks with notes of your own you will find it difficult to do so within the confines of the notebook. On both counts the looseleaf system is greatly preferable. The student who adopts this system needs to take to lectures only a single looseleaf notebook, the day's work being transferred to larger specialised files in the evening. Notes taken down in this form can be rearranged and Expanded at leisure."
