When deciding between polyethylene (PE) and PVC pipes for your project, it’s crucial to consider more than just the initial costs. Initial Costs: PVC pipes typically come with a lower upfront cost compared to PE pipes, which can be a significant factor for projects with tight budgets. Long-Term Savings: PE pipes, although possibly more expensive at the outset, offer notable long-term benefits. They are known for their exceptional durability, resistance to corrosion, and a leak-free lifespan. This can lead to lower maintenance and replacement costs over time. PE pipes can be repaired by welding in new sections, whereas PVC pipes often need costly ductile iron fittings for repairs and may require more frequent maintenance, especially in corrosive environments or where invasive roots can damage the joints. Project Size: While PVC might offer immediate savings for smaller projects, PE pipes are often the more cost-effective choice for larger projects where long-term performance and reliability are essential. The fully welded PE system guarantees a leak-free network, while PVC systems, which use a variety of materials and rely on rubber rings for sealing, may face issues with leaks and require more frequent maintenance. Ultimately, balancing initial costs with long-term durability and maintenance needs will help you make the best choice for your project. Substituting Waste PVC Sheet for PVC End Caps in Vibrating Wire Piezometers, Extensometers, and Time Domain Refractometers Initially, we attached instruments to 20mm stainless steel (SS) threaded pipes, which extended down to 60m horizontal drill holes. Typically, we lost 20 sets of 3m pipes per hole. We then came up with the idea of using a 50ml PVC driver casing, reducing the number of threaded pipes needed for installation to just 20. However, we still purchased and used PVC end caps. By utilizing waste PVC sheet strips as end caps, we eliminated the need to procure new materials. This approach allowed us to repurpose waste materials while adhering to design specifications and maintaining site standards, health, safety, and environmental requirements. #GeotechnicalProjects_CostSaving_QualityWorkmanship_JobSafetyHealthEnvironment_WasteManagement

Our open-top rectangular tanks made from PP, PVC, and PVDF are the preferred choice for many in the metal finishing sector. Most of our tanks are built with a solid polypropylene shell, reinforced with steel – making them durable, corrosion-resistant, and easily weldable. Engineered to meet DVS 2205 and BS EN 12573 standards, these tanks deliver years of reliable service and can be modified or repaired with ease compared to traditional options. While Dual Laminate tanks were once the industry norm, they’re now reserved for more specific needs, such as when a PVC or PVDF liner is essential for handling highly corrosive materials like chromic or chromo-sulfuric acid. If you're in the metal finishing industry and need cost-effective, long-lasting tank solutions, we've got you covered! 💪 #APDTanks #MetalFinishing #ProcessTanks #Polypropylene #CorrosionResistance #EngineeringSolutions #ChemicalTanks

Rotary valve for conveying cement ⛲ 🌁 : 🏭 You need a durable rotary valve for processing construction materials without interruptions. Opt for either the RVC/RFC Series valve (square-flange type) or a round-flange type, as they are easy to customize and maintain. 🏝 Choose rotors made of stainless steel or AR400 steel to withstand wear from abrasive materials like cement. Closed-end rotors offer extra protection for outboard bearings and endplates, especially suitable for extremely abrasive or flake materials. 🏝Apply coatings like hard chrome, heavy plate chrome, or tungsten to extend the valve's lifespan and minimize downtime. Optional attachments such as a shaft seal air purge kit and rotor pocket purge kit help maintain smooth material flow, preventing sticking and jamming. Following these recommendations ensures maximum durability and longevity for your rotary valve, reducing the need for frequent replacements. #RotaryValve #StainlessSteel #MaterialHandling #BulkMaterialHandling #FoodandBeverage #ChemicalIndustry #PowderHandling #AirlockValves #ProcessControl #FoodProcessing #engineer #rotaryairlock #dairy #powder #valvesupplier #valvemanufacturer #materialhandling #powderhandling #Шлюзовыезатвор #Zellenradschleusen #Rotovalvole #pneumaticconveying #BulkHandling #DustCollection #ConveyorFeeding #ChemicalProcessing

Can you paint or coat galvanized steel? Have you heard of passivation? It's a treatment used by suppliers to prevent zinc salts and rust during transportation. But if not removed (or aged) it can cause early failures in duplex coating systems. #highperformancecoatings #galvanizedsteel #performancematters #avoidcoatingfailures

AMALTECH is one of the foremost suppliers of solvent cement to the Middle East. It can create leak-free joints for plastic pipe and fittings. But most plumbers don't know how to use it properly. Avoid the 5 most common solvent cement welding mistakes: 1. Choosing the wrong cement for your project - PVC? CPVC? Medium body? Heavy Duty? There are several kinds. Choose the right one. 2. Not preparing the pipe correctly - cut, chamfer and clean the pipe to prevent failure. 3. Don't skip the primer! Primer helps make the pipe porous ensuring a strong bond. 4. Not waiting for Set/Cure - don't get impatient. Allow proper time to pass. 5. Allow for Airflow - having enough air allows for solvents to evaporate! Send us your inquiry for the highest quality solvent cement.
