Awards that don't exist (but you're still competing for anyway): 🏅 Most perfect 🏆 Never said no 🥇 Rested the least 🤓 Didn't need help 🏅 Worked the longest 🏆 Didn't make any mistakes 🥇 Lived up to everyone's expectations Things that actually push the needle but most people don't do: ✔️ Get the job done, optimise later ✔️ Say no when it suits you ✔️ Recuperate & go back to the drawing board ✔️ Leverage your network for help ✔️ Work effectively & efficiently ✔️ Make mistakes & learn ✔️ Pay little mind to people's expectations Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Luck – Did you hear that; we have a winner! What does this strange word mean to you? You toil at your job and your co-worker gets the promotion; is this fair, why are they lucky? Can luck be earned or found? Consider for a moment, what this “luck” is constructed of? Does your work pass muster regarding critical acclaim, are you in early and staying late, do you try to improve with every project? These are but a few of the components of luck. Rating your output and your co-workers, who’s is better or more reliable? Some speak of winning a lottery rather than excelling at a task; both can be considered “luck,” but if accolades are what you’re chasing, then you need to make your projects shine. Your attitude, skill and diligence will bring the gold!

Q1, that’s a wrap!
