Renton Regional Community Foundation (RRCF) is shining a spotlight on #SouthKingCounty to spark increased investment in the programs and people that make this region great. While RRCF’s geographic scope is broad, they have a unique niche in understanding both the assets and the challenges of this region – and they want to share that knowledge with other funders. LeAnne Moss, executive director, explains how RRCF is using its strategic framework to guide its efforts in our latest blog: https://ow.ly/RrQr50UoA7E

🌟 We believe that better living starts with a place that we can call home. 🏠 For us, a home is more than just a house - it’s a safe, stable, and secure space where people can thrive. But not everyone can achieve this without support. That’s why the ateb Trust is here: to fund projects that empower communities, improve wellbeing, and make a real difference in people’s lives. Community Transformation Starts from Within – Let’s Build Together! Change begins in a single neighborhood and grows outward. Imagine one resident saying, “I live in Dougherty County, and we just elected someone who is ready to collaborate on key issues in our community.” That spark can ignite a broader conversation. When neighboring communities realize they share the same challenges—whether it’s affordable housing, economic development, or educational opportunities—they come together to find solutions. This is how real transformation spreads. It starts in one place and moves across streets, neighborhoods, counties, and beyond. At RCI Community Funds, we believe in the power of communities to solve their own challenges. Together, we can take that first step and amplify it. What can we do for our communities? Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s build the future we all deserve, one neighborhood at a time. #CommunityCapital #LocalLeadership #NeighborhoodTransformation #CountyCollaboration #ImpactInvesting #SocialImpact #CommunityDevelopment #AffordableHousing #EconomicEmpowerment #RCICommunityFunds #GrassrootsMovement #TogetherWeRise

Behind every number in our FY24 Impact Report—every loan and consulting hour—is a story of community, empowerment, and transformation: 👉 Local nonprofits expanding their reach, now equipped with additional program space to better serve the community. This means more impactful services and a wider support net for those who need it. 👉 Community land trusts empowered to transform neighborhoods by creating and preserving affordable housing, providing stability for low- to moderate-income families and individuals. 👉 Entrepreneurs revitalizing their communities by launching and growing businesses that create jobs and services, driving local economic development. Each story is a testament to how strategic advising and investment can catalyze significant community change. The Power of Partnerships and Collaboration Very few things in life (and communities) get done without partners or collaboration. One of the organizational principles I have promoted is stated as “Seek and enhance collaborative relationships – we cannot and should not do this alone”. This is as true internal to an organization as it is external with community partners. Just a few examples of how this collaboration has paid dividends in communities where I have served – redevelopment of brownfield sites and downtown sites, ensuring reliable safe water is readily available, promoting tourism, addressing lack of food access in certain neighborhoods, bridging internal structures to better address gun violence, expanding broadband services, planning the future growth of an airport, development of a new industrial park, expanded public art and addressing increases in homelessness. There are certain things government does well and there are many things private interests, non-profits, regional commissions, neighborhood organizations and others do better. Together, however is when we do our best!

Launching this fund has been my top priority since starting at SSEN Transmission . Like all these things, there are a large number of people across the business who have worked really hard to make this happen. This is very much the beginning - this round has £2m but we expect the value of our #Community Benefit Funds to grow to hundreds of £millions. We will learn from this fund and make improvements as we move forwards with future funds and rounds. #CommunityBenefitFund #SustainableFuture #SSENTransmission #Scotland #Funding
