Heraeus Precious Metals GmbH & Co. KG presents in the FILTECH Innovation Guide: Effective and regulatory-compliant antimicrobial protection of filter media with AGXX technology Heraeus Precious Metals is proud to present their AGXX technology – an environmentally friendly solution for #antimicrobial technologies #waterfilters are susceptible to contamination by microorganisms and #biofouling, posing a risk to both consumer health and the lifespan of the products. As regulations become stricter towards the release of potential hazardous compounds, particularly in Europe, it is increasingly challenging to effectively protect #filtermedia from microbial contamination in a regulatory-compliant manner, as the currently prevailing technologies based on the release of silver-ions are in the process of being banned by the regulatory authorities (ECHA). Conventional antimicrobial technologies, including silver-ion-based methods, rely on the release of #toxicsubstances. In contrast, the AGXX technology operates by catalytically generated reactive oxygen species (ROS) from ambient air and humidity. AGXX meets current regulatory requirements and provides an environmentally friendly solution... Find out more at: https://lnkd.in/d9uNqrjV

⬇️Minimizing waste is a crucial step on the journey to sustainable manufacturing. As one of the 12 guiding principles of green chemistry, it should influence our global efforts. This principle is equally important in producing high-quality materials on a small scale, such as pharmaceutical-grade peptides. Discover how this can be accomplished in a review by Mahan Haji Abbasi Somehsaraie, Vaezeh Fathi Vavsari, Mohammad Kamangar and Saeed Balalaie For more details, visit: https://lnkd.in/diGQHTtE We're thrilled that our RBR technology has been recognized for its ability to achieve exceptionally high solid-to-liquid ratios during SPPS, significantly reducing waste through repeated washing steps! #ChemicalWastes #PeptideSynthesis #sustainable #methods #microwave #radiation #SolidPhasePeptideSynthesis

In recent decades, pharmaceutical companies have increasingly focused on the production and commercialization of 80 FDA-approved therapeutic peptides. Nonetheless, peptide synthesis at both academic and industrial scales has numerous disadvantages, including the utilization of substantial quantities of very toxic coupling chemicals and solvents. SpinChem's RBR technology can improve the solid-phase to liquid ratio, thereby reducing solvent consumption and lowering waste in peptide synthesis.

NU-Gen PFA Filtration Revolutionizes Water Purification with Advanced PFAS Removal Technology Innovation is at the heart of NU-Gen PFA Filtration's approach to tackling the urgent issue of PFAS contamination. 🌊✨ Strengths - NU-Gen PFA Filtration leverages a mixed matrix membrane based on graphene oxide (GO)/polymer, which significantly outperforms traditional reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. The membrane boasts a fine pore size (~1 nm) capable of rejecting 99% of PFAS, producing drinking water with PFAS concentrations of less than two parts per trillion (ppt). Furthermore, the modified graphene oxide nanoparticles efficiently adsorb PFAS, making NU-Gen’s process environmentally friendly. With smart recommendations combining AI and expert advice, NU-Gen offers an exceptional and user-friendly filtration system. Weaknesses - As a newcomer in a competitive market, NU-Gen faces the challenge of building brand loyalty and market goodwill, necessitating substantial marketing investments. Establishing a strong market presence amid well-known players is crucial, which may take time and significant resources. This lag in recognition can impact initial sales and customer trust. Opportunities - The rising global concern over PFAS contamination presents a golden opportunity for NU-Gen. With increasing consumer awareness and willingness to invest in safe drinking water, the market for PFAS treatment is projected to reach $3.1 billion by 2030. Regulatory actions regarding contaminated sites further amplify the demand for efficient filtration solutions. NU-Gen is poised to benefit from these trends, offering a promising avenue for growth and expansion. Threats - The primary threat to NU-Gen comes from established competitors with similar capabilities. The ease of replicating the business model and technological features could lead to intense competition. Staying ahead with continuous innovation and maintaining cost-effectiveness will be vital in mitigating these threats. In conclusion, NU-Gen PFA Filtration has a robust foundation built on technological innovation and environmental consciousness. By addressing its weaknesses and capitalizing on emerging opportunities, it can navigate the competitive landscape and establish itself as a leader in the water purification industry. 🌐💧 #WaterPurification #PFASRemoval #CleanWater #Innovation #EnvironmentalTech #GrapheneOxide #SustainableSolutions #NUGenFiltration
