Did you know 69% of all UK environmental funding is controlled by just 10 foundations, and nearly 45% goes to just 25 organisations? Our agility, in-depth local ecosystem knowledge and deep connection with local community experts & volunteers are what make local charities, like us, and our grassroots biodiversity, climate, rewilding and social benefit projects, unique and so capable of delivering lasting, impactful change. . So how you can help? - Diversify your giving: Support grassroots and community-based charities alongside the bigger names. - Champion funding equity: Advocate for fairer distribution of resources to maximise impact. Are you a funder, philanthropist, or business looking to shape your 2025 ESG strategy or invest in meaningful change? Let’s talk. Together, we can close the funding gap, tackle marine & coastal environment pollution, protect at-risk species and better understand & improve water quality in The Solent. Thank you to the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Environmental Funders Network for their research and work raising awareness. #TheSolent #Climate #Rewilding #Biodiversity #Charity #Environment #ESG

Despite the climate impacts we all face, only 3% of all philanthropy goes to the environment 💸 Here’s why non-profit EarthShare believes we should all care about investing in the environment: 💚 When we invest in our environment, we're investing in our communities, health, and ourselves. Our environment impacts every aspect of our lives and well-being. 🌻 Environmental issues are deeply interconnected. Even local environmental initiatives create ripple effects that benefit communities in areas like health, food security, climate resilience, and more. 🌳 Investing in forest restoration now can have a huge payoff. In 20 years, new-growth forests could absorb enough carbon to offset 1/3 of emissions needed to avoid climate catastrophe. If you want to support EarthShare's vital work towards the United Nations #30x30 target of protecting 30% of lands and waters by 2030, donate here ⬇️ https://bit.ly/3W8G9T4 #climatechange #environmentalism

🌿 Our Social Value Initiative in the UK: Supporting Environmental Causes 🌿 We're excited to announce our contributions to two impactful causes, with a commitment to doing even more in the future. 1st cause: Just One Tree 🌳 A fantastic non-profit organization dedicated to removing CO2 from the atmosphere through global reforestation. We're proud to have contributed 50 trees so far! 🌲🌲🌲 Here are some inspiring quotes from Just One Tree: "Your 50 trees will remove approximately 15.4 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere over the next 25 years." "It means another vital 50 trees added to increase forests in countries that badly need it, such as Brazil, Madagascar, and Kenya. It means more kelp can be regenerated to balance our oceans off Australia and the Philippines. It means rural employment and a greener future for the communities." 2nd cause: Surfers Against Sewage 🏄♂️ For the past 30 years, Surfers Against Sewage has grown into one of the UK’s most successful marine conservation and campaigning charities. We’re proud to support their mission and look forward to participating in an event with them at our next UK team gathering. Together, we can help protect our oceans and coastal environments. 🌊 Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards a greener and more sustainable future! 💚 #SocialValue #EnvironmentalInitiative #JustOneTree #SurfersAgainstSewage #Reforestation

🌏 "Empowering Change Together: Support Environment Hubs Aotearoa to Safeguard Our Future" As Acting Co-Chair of Environment Hubs Aotearoa (EHA), I’m reaching out to highlight the important work that EHA and its members do in your community. Recently, EHA's future government funding through the Community Environment Fund was axed, placing the future of EHA in jeopardy and putting extra strain on the 21 hubs its funds. These hubs are essential – they empower people to live sustainably, restore natural ecosystems, reduce waste, and create the resilient communities we need to face today’s environmental challenges. Many of them, like #Kaibosh provide food rescue services. Without sustainable funding, Environment Hubs Aotearoa’s capacity to champion local initiatives, climate action, and environmental education is in jeopardy. Safeguard Our Future, launched today, is a rallying call to protect this critical work – and we need your support to keep it going. How You Can Help 🔹 Donate – Every dollar helps keep the hubs running, delivering real, hands-on impact in communities across Aotearoa. 🔹 Pledge your support – Show your commitment to a sustainable future and inspire others to do the same. 🔹 Share on your own socials – By spreading the word, you can help us reach those who care about creating a sustainable, thriving Aotearoa. 🔹 Talk to people in power and stress the importance of this fund, and the huge impact it has. Each action, big or small, makes a world of difference. Mā te kotahitanga e ora ai tatou – through unity we thrive. 🌱 🔗 Donate or Learn More - https://lnkd.in/ghc4q-96 #SafeguardOurFuture #EnvironmentHubsAotearoa #SustainableFuture #CommunityImpact #ClimateAction #Unity

We're delighted to announce that Influence Global has recently been engaged by Greenfleet to provide strategic governance support to the Board and executive team. If you don't yet know of their stellar critical carbon sequestration work, then look them up! They should be high on any purpose-driven organisation's radar. Greenfleet plants native biodiverse forests in Australia and New Zealand to restore nature and capture carbon emissions on behalf of our supporters. As they grow, these forests help fight the impacts of climate change, improve soil and water quality, and restore habitat for native wildlife, including many endangered species. Influence Global has proudly carbon-offset with Greenfleet for a number of years, as we work towards our ambitious goal of carbon neutrality. We encourage you to check out Greenfleet and consider offsetting your carbon before 30 June. All donations are tax deductible. #carbonsequestration #carbonoffset #climatecrisis #climatechange #donate #nfp #strategy #governance

🌊 Reflecting on the Success of Aqua Colamentum 2.0 🌊 During the Echo Project in 2022, we embarked on a mission to address the pressing issue of clean water access for the Orang Asli Community through the Aqua Colamentum 2.0 initiative. 💧 For too long, the Orang Asli Community has faced challenges in accessing clean water sources, often resorting to drinking contaminated water as a last resort. Aware of this critical need, we set out to provide sustainable solutions that would not only provide clean water but also minimize environmental impact. 💡 Through our fundraising efforts and the generous support of individuals like you, we successfully raised funds to implement water filtration systems for the community. These systems offer a practical and cost-effective solution, ensuring access to clean water while reducing plastic waste. 🌍 Our commitment to making a difference in the lives of the Orang Asli Community has been unwavering, and the success of Aqua Colamentum 2.0 is a testament to the power of collective action and generosity. Together, we've made a tangible impact, improving health and well-being while promoting sustainability. 🌱 Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful cause. Your support has made a difference and brought hope to those in need. Let's continue working together to create positive change and empower communities worldwide. 💫 Learn more about our efforts and ongoing initiatives: https://lnkd.in/gQDqqiU8 #AquaColamentum2.0 #OrangAsliCommunity #CleanWater #WaterFiltrationSystem #EchoProject #Sustainability #Impact

We can’t get over the fact that only 2% of global philanthropy goes to climate causes. And for carbon removal? Just 2% of that. It’s a huge missed opportunity for all those hoping to tackle the climate crisis. As we gear up for Climate Week NYC, it’s a good time to talk about how philanthropy isn’t just a nice-to-have in the climate fight—it’s critical. The global philanthropic market is approaching $1 trillion. Imagine what we could do if more of that went into carbon removal. https://lnkd.in/g_8dTWza

3wIt would be amazing the spread the wealth to the smaller, more local charities. We do find companies do gravitate to bigger charities and we desperately need funding equity.
