Our upcoming project, referred to internally as "Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies," is set to make a significant difference in rural Tanzania, particularly for 227,000 women and adolescent girls aged 15-49. How? By introducing remote ultrasound units directly into their communities. This innovative approach aims to overcome the barrier of high travel costs that often prevent women from accessing essential diagnostic imaging. It will also indirectly benefit 210,000 men and boys by increasing access to health information and breaking down gender-rigid norms. This holistic approach not only improves healthcare access but also promotes greater gender equality in health outcomes. By empowering women with the tools they need to monitor their health closer to home, we're not only investing in their well-being but also nurturing stronger, more resilient communities. Stay tuned for updates on this transformative effort! #HealthcareInnovation #WomenEmpowerment #GenderEquality #RuralDevelopment #CommunityImpact

The International Day of Action for Women's Health is observed on May 28th every year to raise awareness about women's health issues and to promote gender equality in healthcare. This day serves as a global platform to advocate for women's rights to access quality healthcare services, information, and resources. The focus of the International Day of Action for Women's Health is to address various health challenges that women face, including reproductive health issues, maternal mortality, gender-based violence, and barriers to accessing healthcare services. It also aims to promote women's empowerment, bodily autonomy, and the right to make informed decisions about their health. On this day, organizations, activists, healthcare professionals, and individuals around the world come together to organize events, campaigns, workshops, and discussions to highlight the importance of women's health and advocate for policy changes that prioritize women's healthcare needs. By raising awareness and advocating for women's health rights, the International Day of Action for Women's Health plays a crucial role in advancing gender equality, promoting women's well-being, and achieving sustainable development goals related to health and well-being for all. #WomenHealth #GenderEquality #WomensRights #HealthForAll #EmpowerWomen #ReproductiveHealth #MaternalHealth #GenderJustice #HealthcareAccess #WomenEmpowerment #GlobalHealth #IDAWH #May28

A question I regularly receive is this, Why Gender? Why intersectional? Why women? Why focus poverty? I get to share parts of my life with you, and how these experiences have shaped and inspired me. #WomenLeaders #GenderEquality #WomenHealth

Ever seen a funding announcement demanding a gender analysis but felt lost on where to start? You're not alone! Identifying gender needs and gaps is crucial for creating effective social development projects. By combining qualitative and quantitative research, participatory approaches, and intersectional analysis, we can uncover hidden disparities and tailor interventions accordingly. For example, a focus group with women farmers might reveal challenges accessing agricultural extension services, while a gender audit of a healthcare facility could identify disparities in maternal and child health services. Let's collaborate to build a more equitable future! #GenderAnalysis #SocialDevelopment #WomenEmpowerment #GenderEquality #Research #DataAnalysis #Inclusion #FundraisingTips #ResourceMobilisation #KainosConsulting #ResilienceInAction

Gender disparities in accessing health services are well documented - especially in low- and middle-income countries. 🌐 Digital transformation of health has the potential to improve access to health services and health outcomes for women and girls, if designed to advance gender equality and health equity. 📄 Transform Health has developed a new policy brief 'Establishing Gender Equitable Foundations for Digital Health Transformation to Advance Universal Health Coverage’ to help address this and drive this agenda foward. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/gUP4BgTm #DigitalHealth #GenderEquity #HealthForAll #UHC Sara Chamberlain Arjun K. So proud for #GSKPoland! Wojciech Skrudlik, our Global Hub Lead, on behalf of 30% Club Poland participated in a thought-provoking discussion at IMPACT'24. The panel focused on "Building harmony in society" and explored how social policies can shape healthy intergender relationships through cooperation and communication. "Addressing gender inequalities is crucial. We must provide holistic support, including legal regulations and parity in company leadership. Additionally, targeted programs for specific groups, such as single mothers, girls in STEM or women going through menopause, are essential. Together, we can create a more inclusive and diverse scientific community." - said the Global Hub Lead.
