Embracing Uncertainty During the Festive Season...🎄 With the twinkling of holiday lights and the world seemingly winding down, I have been doing some soul-searching about my next career move. It is that time of year when we reflect on the past and wonder about the future. Paradoxically, the festive period tends to feel like the game is on pause, whether organisations are slowing down hiring activities, people are well away on well-deserved vacations, and inboxes seem eerily quiet. At the other end of the scale is the fact that I look into early January with excitement every start of the year because when resolutions are fresh, new project budgets are released. In the spirit of giving this holiday season, I would like to offer free industry-specific reviews of CVs and cover letters through 31st December. That said, I also should not miss discussing the leveraging of one's network and experiences as an enabler in refining the applications of other people during such a period. Just pay it forward-assist someone in need of your skill set and/or expertise when that opportunity allows this good deed chain to be continuous. Here's where I could use your wisdom: > Have you ever searched for a job during the holidays? > Were you able to discover hidden opportunities others mightn't have found? Or did you take this time to recharge and hit the ground running in the new year? I believe that great advice can come from anywhere, sometimes in unexpected places. I'd love to just hear your stories: successes and challenges, or even over that time you accidentally donned a Santa hat to actually go in for a job interview. If you are hiring or know someone who is, or if you would like to take me up on that offer of a CV and cover letter review, please let's connect. Perhaps this festive season brings new connections and opportunities. Warmest wishes for a holiday season filled with lots of warmth, laughter, and a pinch of adventure! #OpenToWork #CareerJourney #FestiveThoughts #NewBeginnings #PayItForward

This dedication often means sacrifices; missing family dinners, opening presents late, or skipping celebrations altogether. To everyone in the care sector: thank you for your unwavering commitment! But let’s be honest, it’s not just the frontline care team. Managers often face the daunting task of creating the Christmas rota, ensuring shifts are covered fairly across the team. Now, I don't know about you but Christmas for me is well and truly in action and the manufacturing sector is lighting up with seasonal excitement too🎄 First off, as a recruiter, we play a crucial role in ensuring that both interim and permanent roles are filled smoothly, even as things get busier: - Streamlining the recruitment process to avoid delays. - Communicating clearly and promptly with our candidates about holiday schedules and expectations. - Showing appreciation! A little festive cheer can go a long way in making candidates feel valued and festive. Meanwhile, for our incredible manufacturing teams, who are busy creating innovation, let's help keep their festive spirit alive in the work environment: - Organise team-building activities that are fun and festive. - Introduce flexible work schedules to help balance work and holiday plans. - Recognise hard work and achievements to end the year on a high note and motivate everyone for 2025. Ultimately, Christmas is about giving. So, why not give your teams the support, recognition, and festive cheer they deserve, so they can truly enjoy the season.🎄 Now I am feeling extra Christmassy, I am off to watch Elf... ✨

29 days until Christmas 🎄 As the festive season approaches, there's a tempting pull to step away from our usual professional routines, but for recruiters, maintaining an online presence will be a game-changer. Scheduling content over this period isn't just about keeping your profile active; it's about staying engaged with your network and the wider community. The festive season is a prime time for reflection, and as candidates consider new opportunities and career changes for the coming year, your consistent online presence ensures that your brand remains at the forefront of those pivotal decisions. Staying consistent online during the festivities isn't just advantageous for potential candidates; it also showcases your dedication and reliability to clients. Businesses often reassess their goals and needs as the year wraps up, which means they'll be on the lookout for proactive recruitment partners ready to spring into action. Scheduled content can echo your commitment and readiness to support those end-of-year strategies and the upcoming demands of the new year. Let's not forget the magic of festive content! Crafting messages that resonate with the season's spirit can humanise your brand, making it more relatable and approachable. It's a great time to celebrate successes, share gratitude, and set a positive tone for the forthcoming year. As recruiters, your presence can make all the difference in a competitive job market. 🎵 "It's the most wonderful time of the year..." 🎵 But at Conectys, it’s also the most crucial time to set expectations! The holiday season is here! While we're humming festive tunes and sipping on hot cocoa, it's important to keep communication open between recruiters and job seekers. This time of year can be magical and a bit tricky. To the tune of holiday cheer, here’s a jolly reminder: 🎄Candidates: Got holiday travel or family plans? Don’t leave it under wraps like a Secret Santa gift!🧳Let your recruiter know about your upcoming schedule. The more we understand, the better we can align interviews, feedback sessions, and ensure you have time to enjoy and shine. 🎄Recruiters: We know that Q4 can bring year-end tasks that stretch even Santa’s schedule.🎅 Be clear with candidates if there are holiday pauses or if the process might take a little longer. It keeps the spirit bright and builds trust, even if there are a few extra “fa-la-la-las” along the way. When we all share our timelines and align expectations, everyone can step into the new year with less stress and more joy. Let's make this hiring season a gift for all involved! 🎁 🎉✨ Wishing everyone happy holidays and even happier hiring! 🎵

🎄 🎁 Wrapping Up the Year! Today marks my last day in office before the Christmas break, and I wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts. The end of the year can feel bittersweet when you’re on the hunt for your next role. Maybe you’ve been pushing hard, sending out applications, attending interviews, or trying to stay positive through the ups and downs. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮: 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞. This festive season is a chance to take stock, recharge, and reconnect—with yourself, your friends, and your family. Job searching is important, but so is self-care. Reflect on how far you’ve come, the resilience you’ve shown, and the skills you’ve grown. Use this time to nurture what fuels you. Rest, laugh, and enjoy moments with loved ones. A refreshed mind is a powerful one, and stepping back can often lead to clarity and fresh energy in the new year. To all of you striving toward your career goals: I see you, I’m proud of you, and I know brighter days are ahead. 2025 is just around the corner, bringing new opportunities and possibilities. Wishing you a joyful, restful festive season and a brilliant start to the new year! #CareerCoach #JobSearchTips #Recharge

☃️ Heading into the final, slightly more manic stages of the Festive Holiday season, here are some passing suggestions: - If you buy an advent calendar today, you have 16 pieces of chocolate banked up in lieu. You're welcome. - Now is not the time to try a new barber. No matter the rush, it's not worth the shame of a horrible haircut. - In order for you to get into the elevator, you must first let people out of the elevator. This also applies to trains, trams and buses. - Don't try and do too much getting the avocado stone out. Just push from the back and avoid a trip to the hospital. - Most importantly, get back to your candidates and get back to your clients before you finish up. If you don't, the ghosts of Christmas jobs will haunt you every year. Happy Holidays from Randstad's Public Sector Team In Melbourne - enjoy your well deserved break and maybe give me a bell in the new Year if you're feeling jazzy. 💙 Randstad Australia Ashley Brill Patrick Conlon Yasmin Fakhry William Maloney Urdampilleta Krish Reddy

The festive season can feel bittersweet when a team member hands in their notice just before Christmas. Rather than dwelling on the loss, focus on handling it with grace. Wish them well, plan for the transition, and keep the festive spirit alive. It’s easy to feel a bit down when someone leaves, but remember that every individual has their own career journey. #HandingInNotice #ExitInterview #CareerCoach #NewJob #EmployeeLeaving #LastDay

Christmas is approaching 🎄 I just want to remind all of us.. Having a job during Christmas is important for a multitude of reasons. It offers financial stability in a time of increased expenses, provides valuable work experience and networking opportunities, enhances personal well-being, and allows for flexible scheduling. As individuals navigate the complexities of the holiday season, employment can serve as a vital resource that not only supports us financially but also enriches our overall experience during this festive time. Embracing the opportunities that come with seasonal work can lead to lasting benefits that extend well beyond the holiday season. The holiday season can evoke a range of emotions, from joy and excitement to stress and loneliness. For some, having a job during this time can create a sense of purpose and belonging. Engaging with colleagues and customers in a lively environment can enhance mood and promote social interaction, combating feelings of isolation that can occur during the holidays. The routine of a job can also provide stability, helping individuals maintain a sense of normalcy amidst the hustle and bustle of the season. Additionally, contributing to a team effort—whether through decorating a store, serving customers, or preparing food—can foster a sense of camaraderie that enriches the holiday experience. #ChristmasSeason #EnjoyTheBreezeWithIMSPH
