The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority in partnership with Core42 has launched an advanced digital portal that allows the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, building owners and maintenance companies to register, manage, and update fire and life safety standards in real time. It was launched as part of the Hassantuk programme and developed by Core42, which significantly enhances protection for residents of buildings across Abu Dhabi. It also reduces property damage and improves emergency response time. Colonel Dr Engineer Faisal Hassan Al-Qahtani, Acting Director of the Civil Protection Department, said: "The Hassantuk program has registered over 35,000 buildings in Abu Dhabi, significantly mitigating fire and life risks. With the new smart solution, we can now access real-time data, detect false alarms, and proactively monitor property maintenance, further enhancing safety in a controlled manner. In response to the Vision Zero strategy, which prioritizes the establishment of safe infrastructure and creation of a response system for traffic accidents, 154 high-risk intersections across the three Abu Dhabi regions (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra) have been identified and ranked based on their risk rating. Tatweer will adopt a comprehensive approach, integrating all safe system principles, to verify and validate the identified intersections based on site visits and crash data analysis of the latest collisions. Tatweer will be also responsible for designing interventions, including concept, preliminary, and detailed designs for the finally selected and validated treatments and interventions for very high-risk intersections, preparing tender documents for the three regions, and providing tender support services as well as design liaison services. #Tatweer #AbuDhabi #RoadSafety

The bid submission deadline for Islamabad International Airport has been extended by another two months. “It is for the information of all concerned that Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), pursuant to the prospective bidders’ written requests to extend the Bid Submission Deadline, has extended the schedule for the Submission and Opening of Proposals,” PCAA announced in a news release. This marks the fourth extension to date. The submission deadline has been extended as follows: Bid Submission Deadline: September 16, 2024, no later than 1500 hours PKT. Opening of Technical Proposals: September 16, 2024, at 1600 hours PKT. The addresses for the Submission of Proposals and Opening of Technical Proposals shall remain as specified in the RFP. All other timelines, terms, and conditions set out in the RFP shall remain unchanged.
