💧 Why Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) Are Gaining Popularity 💧 As aquaculture grows, so does the need for efficient and sustainable farming methods. Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) are becoming a popular choice, offering several advantages for fish farmers and the environment alike. Here are some key benefits of RAS: Water Efficiency: RAS recycles water, reducing overall water usage and waste. Controlled Environment: Farmers can manage temperature, pH, and other water quality factors to optimize fish health. Reduced Environmental Impact: Less water discharge means less impact on surrounding ecosystems. These systems are particularly useful for land-based fish farming and are helping shape the future of sustainable aquaculture. Question for You: Have you implemented RAS or similar systems in your operations? What has your experience been? Let’s discuss! #FisheryNews #Aquaculture #RAS #FishFarming #SustainableFarming #Innovation

Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) 🐟 Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) are advanced fish farming systems designed to efficiently and sustainably grow fish and other aquatic organisms in tanks, basins and ponds in a controlled environment. The system includes various filtration and water treatment processes to remove waste products and maintain optimal water quality. The basic water treatment system consists of the removal of waste products by mechanical filtration, degradation of organic matter and ammonia in a biological treatment step, and the control of CO2, N2 and H2S by using degassing and stripping. In some recirculating aquaculture systems UV disinfection and oxygen control are also part of the process. Here are some products and solutions that we deliver: 🔹 Tank cleaning equipment for various types of tanks, basins and ponds 🔹 Spray nozzles to control or eliminate foam in tanks and basins 🔹 Biofilter - biocarriers and structured biofilter media 🔹 Random packings and structured packings for CO2-degassing and stripping 🔹 Spray nozzles for various cleaning and washing processes 👉 If you are interested in learning more, visit our website or call us today: Sweden, Norway, Denmark: +46 (0)8 594 770 50 Finland, Baltic states: +358 (0)20 743 7110 #fishfarming #RecirculatingAquacultureSystems #biofilter #tankcleaning #nozzles

Onda means it when we say the future of food is aquaculture. Fish & seafood are rich in essential nutrients and a strong protein source and present a lot of opportunities to help communities in food-insecure regions. Aquatic animals also have a higher feed-to-protein conversion, meaning they require less feed to produce the same amount of protein compared to land-based farming. Onda works everyday with their clients to work on building sustainable aquaculture practices to ensure that we are feeding the world. From vaccine research to decrease production loss to aquafeed research to reduce costs of production, Onda works every day, where the future of food is sustainable aquaculture. #ZeroHunger #SustainableAquaculture #BlueEconomy #FutureofFoodisAquaculture
