#NASA developed the Imaginative Index for the #ApolloSpaceProgram to identify and recruit the best and the brightest to go to the moon. The creator of the assessment found that 98% of children demonstrate genius-level abilities by the age of five. However, only 2% of adults maintain this level of genius by the time they reach thirty. There are two paths to reclaiming this childhood genius. he first is a longer route, involving revisiting your younger self and reconnecting with that innate brilliance. ‘’We choose to go to the moon not because they are easy, but because they are hard’’ – John F. Kennedy   It was a once-in-a -lifetime experience to meet Astrophysicist and Austronaut Dr. John-David F. Bartoe at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex close to Cape Canaveral, Florida. Dr. Bartoe is truly inspirational, and he told us about how he became and astronaut and how it is to fly 2.8 million miles into space, what they did in space (test Coca Cola and Pepsi from spray cans😊 amongst others), and how it was to look back to our beautiful earth from space.   What especially inspired me was how space travel is a marvel and is a testament to what humans can do when we all come together and give our best, such as at the International Space Station, where people from all nations, from America, Russia, Germany, and others, all work peacefully together.   When we all come together, we make the impossible possible. It takes vision and lots of courage like that of Dr. Bartoe, to push the boundaries of science technology for the good of humankind. This is why I am so passionate about STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), and why I do what I love doing at oneservice: Helping our customers push the boundaries of science.   #stem #oneservice #nasa

Her calculations inspired trust, even leading astronaut John Glenn to specifically request her verification before his flight. . I'm so happy that Hidden Figures was finally brought to the big screen in 2016. That's when I first learned of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson's accomplishments at NASA. .
