🤔 considering humanity's coherence sufficient to enable the joys of intra- and interpersonal synchronicity, I happened upon, '"When I was a girl," ... "we knew everybody between the Battery and Canal Street," continuing more truthfully, "; and only the people one knew had carriages." Mrs Archer continues, more tellingly, "It was perfectly easy to place anyone then; now one can't tell, and I prefer not to try." in the Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton Social engineering, socialisation, power, influence, ignorance etc. is it really as it is depicted in fiction? The thing is our brains get to feel comfy with things just so. The problem is, in itself our brain cannot know what is in our own lifelong best interest. In fact it relies heavily on our activities and experiences to gain any level of understanding... we live first. When comfy, settled with a sense of presence and understanding, it's difficult to comprehend anything outside of that realm we create for ourselves - impossible. That said, we have to. For if there is one certainty in life, it is change. Do you find yourself stepping in line with the likes of the Mrs Archers or the arrogant Beauforts of this world? You too harkening back to the days of yore - when things were 'perfectly easy.' You too could be in the world of the unwritten rules of managed and maintained societal cohesion - suppressed, repressed and oppressed synchronicity... Stifling! It's no small wonder our younger generations are finding solace in technology... my sanctuary was the local library! Individual narratives speak volumes, and when allowed to express freely and fully in a nurturing and flourishing environment, well, who knows the possibilities! Yes, our youngsters need that space to be their selves. #synchronicity #coherence #people #expressyourself

In today's world, it's hard to escape the barrage of negative declarations that fill our conversations and social media feeds. You've likely seen the memes, heard the sound bites, and maybe even reposted a few. Statements like "People are so stupid," "People are so selfish," and "People are so mean" have become all too common. They might also take the form of sweeping generalizations like “All white people are racist,” “Liberals hate America,” or “College students are idiots.” But here’s the thing—when we say, think, or post these things, we often believe we're making profound observations about "them." The "them" in these statements typically refers to a group we're not part of, and in most cases, this group only exists in the distorted political and cultural landscape we find ourselves in today. The truth is, these phrases say far more about us than they do about them. Read more at LHerron.substack.com

The exploration of conversation reveals the riches of hidden wisdom Humans are communal animals, born to be part of the tribe and as such conversation is essential to how we communicate and connect with each other. However many of us learnt as children to be quiet and to withhold our voice for fear of being reprimanded or saying something that would embarrass us . Due to this modern society has lost the art of conversation. The ability to debate openly allowing the topics discussed to move fluidly, instead most of us adopt a more pragmatic, masculine approach of structure and agenda, which for organization and planning can be a great tool, yet for exploration becomes restrictive. However if we allow ourselves to release our fears and lean in to exploring various topics, allowing the conversation to be an act of discovery. We can agree there is no right or wrong answer, and allow the different voices we have inside us to share all of our perspectives, creating an invitation to discover hidden gems of wisdom within ourselves and the other . Is there a conversation you’re avoiding that you allow you discover something about yourself? If this resonates, please like, share, and comment below. Sometimes people simply nail it. Watch that guy innocently put forth an important observation: The outcome of evolutionary processes favors effectiveness over accuracy, or more correctly expedience over truth. As the same holds for social evolution, we need not be surprised that societies operate on practicality not actuality. A social truth need not be factually true in order to help people in their struggle for survival. If it promotes behavior that increases an individual's or society's chance to survive, it is an adaptive trait, regardless if based on facts or fiction. The reverse is also true: a truth that not necessarily helps to promote survival, well-being or happiness is maladaptive. That is the major hangnail of the enlightenment project we are now struggling with, that it was founded on the optimistic assumption that knowing more "truth" will result in better outcomes for all. As it seems, that is not true. #truth, #posttruth, #enlightenment, #socialevolution
