A Big thanks to Mark Williams-Cook Sevi M. and everyone at Candour for having me at #SearchNorwich last night. I had a blast doing my Mechanics Of Storytelling For Marketers presentation - with a bit of an audience workshop in the middle. The presentation breaks down the elements of what makes a story to provide a framework for people writing pitches, social media, blogs and emails. I'm not a proper SEO but I work with SEOs - people who are amazing at data. The challenge is often how to turn that data into something that a non-SEO can understand. I love working with our Head of SEO Amy Baker to turn data into compelling stories - reports and recommendations for our clients. Although this chapter wasn’t part of the assignments in my Voltage Control certification, the title was so intriguing that I couldn't skip. A few takeaways from Parker’s chapter that really struck a chord: 📌 "𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗻." — 90% of what makes a gathering successful is put in place beforehand. 📌 "𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁."
