FMCSA should immediately begin a review of all crashes previously determined “preventable” and adjust both drivers’ and carriers’ scores accordingly. These new standards can help much more accurately determine fault, something the FMCSA and others (insurance, DOT, injury lawyers, etc.) have long taken for granted is the commercial driver’s fault.

It's funny how the North American government has given in to foreigners to drive here and they can't speak or read the language, with that I guess that's why most of the semi accidents, involved foreign drivers they pushed the North American driver's out opened trucking up to foreigners with the help of technology but it's not working so good.

Allowing the consideration of dashcam evidence is significant on many levels. Drivers perform pre-trip inspections to ensure that there are no obvious issues with the vehicle, yet this small device is equally if not more important while the truck is in motion. Hopefully this will encourage operators at all levels to get on board with dashcams.
