Very exciting news for motor carriers who've struggled with FMCSA's limitations on what type of crashes are eligible to be determined "non-preventable". 4 new crash scenarios that are very common have been added to the list: + CMV was struck on the side by a motorist operating in the same direction + CMV was struck because another motorist was entering the roadway from a private driveway or parking lot + CMV was struck because another motorist lost control of their vehicle + Any other type of crash involving a CMV where a video demonstrates the sequence of events of the crash (*dashcams, everyone) Have your safety personnel review the new eligibility criteria published Dec 1 and review your crashes in the past 2 years to see what is now eligible to DataQ: https://lnkd.in/gHs8yPRn

Putting on your seat belt when you enter a vehicle might seem like common sense. 🚜 However, when you're constantly getting in and out of vehicles throughout the day, it can slip down the priority list… Those few seconds to buckle up can mean everything if an accident occurs. A seat belt can only do its job when you wear it. https://hubs.ly/Q02GkTQ-0 #Farmsafeaustralia #insafehands #farmsafety #nationalfarmsafetyweek #farmsafetyweek #keepsafekeepfarming #FSW24 #safeagsystems
