Do you really need a community along your online education program? In my opinion yes, It can help a lot. There is some points of why I think community can add a to your online education program. - The members can find a accountability partners in the community and that build discipline and motivation. - The community run it self you only need to be active once in a while and make weekly group calls with your students to help them out and keep the community engaged and hungry to succeed. - Lastly the members can share their ideas, stories and wins, And that have two positive things. a. Use the wins of your students as a marketing tool to get more students in. b. Make the other members more hungry for success. --- If you want start your journey with creating an online education program send me a message and I can get help you get started.

I mean this in the kindest way possible If you feel desperate and don’t have enough clients, a group program is not your answer Focus on building your community, your audience, your following, your platform, instead. A group certification program only makes sense financially, strategically, and even emotionally when you have the foundational community in place to support it

⌚ Webinar catch-up! Does your marketing of courses for post-19s put up barriers to those who most need to access them? Improving social & economic outcomes for the nation means giving people skills they can take into the future. And a lot of funding in recent years has gone into developing training courses to upskill adults, from maths based Multiply to programmes that provide entry opportunities into newer sectors. But if you’ve been tasked with running marketing campaigns to encourage uptake of these, there might be a key focus you’re missing: cost per sign-up. Divide the total marketing spend by registrations – have you been short-changed? Costly broadcast channels like radio, TV and commercial out-of-home aren’t specifically targeting the groups who would most benefit. And the initial registration process on the campaign landing page may be overly complicated with too many questions & dense text for those reading on mobiles (which most people will be). This week’s Lunch Bite webinar on marketing post-19 skills & training courses featured our John Paul Danon and Daniel MacKriel & aims to leave you with at least one thing you can start doing & one thing you can stop doing as it’s no longer working! Some people hear. Some people see. I knew a union steward who learned by speaking back whatever someone said, in her own words. Here’s your periodic reminder that there are many different learning styles. If you’re planning a workshop or webinar, there are several ways to incorporate those different learning styles. For example, a simple flip chart or Mural can help everyone participate. If you’re asking a group to brainstorm something, write the short-handed ideas on a flip chart or dry erase board. People who learn by listening will hear the ideas, while people who learn by reading will see them written down. Just as importantly, you will show everyone who spoke up that they were heard. For online training, use an app like Mural or simply share your screen and type into a document or slide. If there are folks in the group who don't like to speak up, try Mural or Slido. Both apps allow participants to write down their comment instead of speaking in front of a group. Bonus: your session is more interactive than simply reciting a list of answers. What other differences in learning styles have you observed?
