These poll results REALLY surprised me. Set actions are clearly misunderstood. I'm thinking of running a webinar to help you understand the difference between Set and Parameter actions. I want to help you build a solid foundation for knowing when it's best to use one vs. the other. Understanding this difference will help you deliver analysis and create interactivity that engages your stakeholders. I'll cover a range of use cases across different industries, mostly advanced, with the opportunity to ask questions throughout. If there’s enough interest, I’ll schedule a LIVE webinar next week called “Unveil the Secret: Set vs. Parameter Actions...”. Should I do it? P.S. This would not be a hands-on workshop. The goal is to help you understand the key differences, and will inform me as to whether there is interest in a hands-on workshop.

Recently we've been working with clients to find more ways to add engagement to their content, and have found many are in the dark about some of the key results the meeting is attempting to accomplish. To help define that, we use a quick, inexpensive and low-tech tool to get to the heart of the purpose of the event. Check out this quick video that explains the Learn, Feel, Do tool.

In this age of information overload, what’s better than listening to someone who gets straight to the point, tells you only what you need to know, and does it in a compelling way? Great tips from PowerSpeaking Facilitators and Coaches Stephanie Moore and David Binder on the power of brevity. #powerspeaking #pslive #communicationskills #presentationskills #smartbrevity
⚡️ To keep the business humming, you need people who can communicate highly technical and complex ideas in a crisp, clear, compelling way 🎯 Mastering that skill takes practice. I love the insights shared in a recent PowerSpeaking Live! by Stephanie Moore and David Binder, PowerSpeaking Facilitators and Coaches, on how to be brief yet informative: 👥 Know who’s in your audience and what they need to know now vs. later. Weedy detail is often better delivered in a handout or appendix. 📊 Especially if you have a mixed audience in terms of technical expertise and/or familiarity with your topic, organize your presentation so that it flows from big-picture information to a moderate level of detail, to deep-in-the-weeds data. 👏🏽 Communicate that information-flow agenda at the outset, so people know what to expect and can stay only for the level of detail they think they need. (They’ll love you for it!) Have you ever organized your presentation so it focuses on the differing needs of your audience? What strategies did you use? #powerspeaking #pslive #communicationskills #presentationskills #smartbrevity

I’m excited to launch a new 1-day workshop, to assist organisations in prioritising their goals for 2025, and confidently step into next year with clarity and purpose. I’d very much appreciate it if you could share with anyone this might be helpful for. — This workshop provides an opportunity to reflect on the past year, look at what went well, the challenges, surprises, curve balls and wins. We then look ahead towards the next 12 months, what does it look like, how does it feel, what has been achieved by the close of 2025? We will work to identify the goals, prioritise them and agree actionable steps for some of the key items. The approach includes pre-workshop preparation, a 1-day fully facilitated interactive workshop, preferably on-site, and a comprehensive report describing key discussion points, prioritised goals and next steps. If this sparks an interest and you would like to find out more, do get in touch via LinkedIn or email hello@suzycrook.com.
