Following the unprecedented flooding in Valencia that has caused widespread devastation to the region, Formula E stands in solidarity with all those affected in what we proudly call our second home. As an initial act of support, Formula E will donate €50,000 to fund immediate relief efforts. Additionally, this GoFundMe page is an open avenue for fans, partners, teams, and staff to contribute to. Collectively, we can amplify and strengthen our impact.

Some of our students have a dream and that dream is...To Go Fast! If you would take a minute to consider where you started and where you all have achieved. Along the way there were those willing to give advice or a helping hand. If you would be willing to give either, reach out to this group of students who are pursuing this on their own outside of school and trying to make it to the starting line! #RacingForLemons #LemonsOrBust #StudentRacingTeam #LemonDreamTeam #24hoursoflemons

This is such an important showcase for emerging technology to protect players from harm. Thanks to Unispace we have helped move real solutions into the sports world. We’re thrilled to partner with the charity Love of the Game for the third consecutive year for an event in October alongside Holland & Holland, championing concussion awareness in sports. We recently spoke with Simon Shaw, president of the charity and former rugby player, about their incredible work. Simon shared, “I started Love of the Game to drive awareness and funding of solutions that can prevent, diagnose, and treat concussion in sport, not just rugby, but all sports.” Check out the full article to learn from Simon about their mission and what’s next for the charity: https://lnkd.in/e96UhzFH #SparkBrilliance #LoveOfTheGame #ConcussionAwareness #SportsSafety #Charity Michelle Elkins Robin Dey Rob Frank

Tasmanian greyhound racing clubs are deeply integrated into the local community, actively supporting a wide array of grassroots organisations and initiatives. In Hobart, the Greyhound Racing Club has embraced local sporting clubs by hosting sporting clubs challenge nights that benefit a variety of clubs across sports ranging from AFL to netball, offering both direct sponsorships and opportunities to win additional funding. Similarly, the Launceston Club enriches the community with race days tailored for aged care residents, creating memorable social experiences. Moreover, a collective initiative across Tasmanian clubs culminated in a generous $35,220 donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charity, significantly enhancing the support facilities for families of children undergoing medical treatments in Hobart. These initiatives underline the greyhound racing industry’s dedication to nurturing and giving back to the communities they operate in, reinforcing their role as key players in building and sustaining local community spirit. Hello LinkedIn community! As some of you may know, I have recented rejoined the Canadian Tire family to become an Associate Dealer. I am currently in training (not cycling as much, so this should be interesting), I look forward to join a great group of peers and to support the amazing initiatives that this company undertakes. Jumpstart has always impressed me by the impact it has in communities across Canada and the support it offers for kids to have a chance to participate in sports activities. I am asking for your support as I prepare to ride in Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities' Pedal for Kids event in June. Jumpstart’s tireless efforts bring joy, inspiration, and hope to children and communities nationwide. Here's how you can help: 1. Donate: Any amount, big or small, will go a long way in helping Jumpstart provide opportunities for kids who may not otherwise have access to them. Your contribution will directly impact their lives and bring smiles to their faces. Please visit my fundraising page here: https://lnkd.in/gW8Xy3vh 2. Share the word: Even if you're unable to contribute financially at the moment, your support can still make a difference. 3. Join us: If you're interested and available, consider coming out for a ride and we can raise funds that will make a lasting impact on children's lives. I understand that times are tough, and many families are facing financial difficulties due to current economic headwinds. However, it is precisely during these times that Jumpstart's work becomes even more crucial. If you have any questions or would like more information about Jumpstart or the Pedal for Kids event, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you so much for considering my request and for your ongoing support.

It's inspiring to witness athletes like #CameronNorrie leading the charge in addressing climate change, ensuring the sustainability of sports in the face of environmental challenges. Additionally, the transition of sports grounds towards implementing carbon sink practices marks a positive shift, demonstrating proactive efforts to reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental stewardship. Furthermore, there's an exciting opportunity for corporate sponsorship to align with sustainability goals by supporting sporting initiatives that remove CO2e emissions and provide biodiversity gain associated with sports events. This not only benefits the environment but also enhances the reputation of both the corporations and the sports organizations involved, setting a commendable example for other industries to follow suit in combatting climate change.
🎾ICYMI: 5x ATP Tour Titleist, Cameron Norrie, has offset all 28 tournament trips in 2023 🗣️ “I try my best now to reduce my carbon footprint where I can, from cycling everywhere to taking the train when possible” he says 🏆 Norrie finished third on the Carbon Tracker leaderboard and donated $20,000 to Sported, a charity for sustainability initiatives at grassroots clubs and other young communities in the UK 🔖 Read: : https://lnkd.in/erd7GZNb #sportpositive #greensports #sportsforclimateaction #ATPTour #tennis

A little 'inside baseball' for how a Rally North America event works. 80+ cars line up in a smallish town (think Erie, PA or Knoxville, TN) on a sunny weekday morning - come to think of it, I've never been on a starting grid where it was raining - listen to a rallying introduction from our organizers and that town's leadership, and then get in our cars, waiting for the coveted Clue Card for the day and the green flag. Local news crews recording as we take off, one by one. Pictured is one of those Clue Cards - this from our 2016 Big Sky Rally which ran from Billings, MT to Portland, OR. As you can see, each checkpoint is described with just a clue and an image. We have to figure out what it is, where it is, and how to get there more quickly than the other 79 cars' occupants. While respecting traffic laws, mind you; a ticket is an instant DQ. Our place in the starting grid is dictated by how much money we raise for the charity that year. In 2012, I secured pole position with approximately $3500 raised. By now, pole position requires more than $20,000 in donations. We are that serious about the cause. I'm usually good now for about $8,000 - though I'm behind in my efforts so far this year. Please help me out by hitting Like and, if you think the cause worthy, repost to your networks. All donations, large or small, are hugely appreciated and roundly celebrated. My goal for this week is to raise $250 through our donation page, which is linked below. All proceeds go directly to Camp Sunshine and you will receive a receipt for tax purposes. 🏕 ☀ This post is related to Rally North America's 2024 Sunshine Rally. As we do nearly every year, my wife and I are participating under the team name Slightly Lost. Our goal is to raise as much money for the chosen #charity as we possibly can; please help us make a difference for the kids at Camp Sunshine by contributing at our Team Page. Link in the Comments. For more information, or if you represent a business that would like to get exposure during the event, DM me. #fundraising #foragoodcause #rallynorthamerica #campsunshine #slightlylost661

Hopefully, this is a video of the very last time Tom has to deploy his para-anchor! 🪂 • We've mentioned it a few times, but the para-anchor is an underwater parachute on the end of a really really long line that's connected to the front of the boat. Tom can deploy this when the winds are against him and he's not able to make any progress. Once deployed the drag from the parachute turns the boat into the conditions, and drastically reduces how far he is pushed backwards, whilst he waits for the winds to stop. 💨 • He's had to use this quite a few times recently, but the weather forecasts are indicating that he may get winds going in (roughly) the right direction from tomorrow. 🌬️ • If you check his tracker (download the YB Races app and search Mindoarmatter if you haven't already!) you'll see that the ETA is late on the 20th August, to early on the 21st August - and with the upcoming weather forecasts taken into account that's actually about right at this stage. So if you're planning on coming to Penzance to welcome him in, that's the kind of time we think he may make it in. 👍 • HOWEVER - one puff of wind in the wrong direction, even a day before landing, will change this, ocean rowing is nothing if not unpredictable, and that is true right up to the landing! 😬 • A huge boost to the fundraising has seen over £1,200 raised in just 24 hours! This brings us to £44,767 - £233 short of £45k, which is 90% of the target! If you've enjoyed following this absolutely INCREDIBLE journey - please donate as generously as you can afford to, today. 🙏 • The donation link is: https://lnkd.in/e55nzqnz 🌐 • A huge thank you to all of Tom's sponsors who have helped make this amazing challenge possible: - Gold sponsors: Everlast Gyms Tritax Symmetry Tritax Big Box REIT plc - Silver sponsors: VW&S Group BOOM POWER - Bronze sponsors: Immobilier du Pont - Le Châble Hotel Farinet Verbier • #mindoarmatter #atlanticrow #atlantic #oceanrow #mind #mindcharity #mentalhealth #Tritaxbigbox
