Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor: Dear HR Professionals and #Business Leaders, 2024 showed us that HR isn't just about policies - it's about building cultures where both people and profits thrive 🌱 As your #OgaHR, I've had the privilege of shaping organizational excellence across Nigeria through: → Joining LEAD AFRICA FOUNDATION as HR Program Manager → Facilitating transformational training sessions on organizational development → Building a community of 18,000+ HR professionals seeking excellence → Being appointed Brand Ambassador for the Society of Human Resource Professionals and Administrators → Achieving multiple certifications including Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria CIPM (Official LinkedIn Account) Three conversations that truly connected with our community: "If you are offered half of this Money in Exchange for Burning all Your Academic Certificates, Will you Accept it?" On the real value beyond paper qualifications https://lnkd.in/dZ52ABwV "Unfortunately, we are not garbage cleaners" On why we must handle employee exits professionally https://lnkd.in/dgyr4A-T "The recruiter would have saved everyone's time if they had been transparent enough" On salary transparency and respect in recruitment https://lnkd.in/dkNf9KqS One thing remains clear - HR excellence comes from understanding both business intelligence and people management. This isn't just theory; I've seen it transform organizations through our training sessions at universities and professional bodies. For 2025, I'm expanding my focus on organizational development and training facilitation. Watch this space as we launch comprehensive employability skills programs across Nigerian universities, including the University of Abuja, Nile University of Nigeria, Nasarawa State University, and the Federal University of Technology Minna. To every HR professional working to build better workplaces - remember that we don't just manage human resources, we nurture human potential. That's why I eat, breathe, and live HR. I remain yours truly, OgaHR 🎯 #OgaHR #HR #Leadership #Training #Organization Human Resources Professional and Practitioner

Dear Leaders, Yes, there is. First what is Human capital? Human capital refers to the economic value attributed to a worker's experience and skills, encompassing education, training, intelligence, skills, health, and other attributes that contribute to an individual's ability to perform labor and generate economic value. In Africa, particularly Nigeria, there’s a mindset hurdle that creates a huge gap in our outcomes as individuals, as we can agree that the mind is the shaper of each individual’s reality. It’s hard to have a thriving economy when the people operate on a scarcity mindset. Let’s not forget the skills needed for effective productivity, including; Communication, Time management, Emotional Intelligence, Conflict Resolution, Critical Thinking and most important Leadership. The absence of these skills is observed daily, impacting various aspects from customer service to our personal interactions. To address issues effectively, we need to look at the root causes, and these right here are some of the contributing factors to the nation’s economic crisis. This is the problem we at Lead for Good Africa are determined to solve one step at a time through our training programs, impact projects and skills development initiatives. Give us a follow, and send us an email 📧 at info@leadforgoodafrica.org partner with us.

THE WILLINGNESS TO EMBRACE RISK. Earlier this year in my career, I took an opportunity to transition from content and marketing (in tech) to providing recruitment solutions to leading brands in the Nigerian FMCG Market. It was a bold move, and required all the courage I could muster. Well, here's one thing about BEING COURAGEOUS that we don't hear enough... It takes THE WILLINGNESS TO EMBRACE RISK to be truly courageous. "What kind of risk?" For starters, I specialise in headhunting for senior and executive management professionals to drive business growth for my clients in the Personal Care and Retail sectors. And from conversations with managers and directors across tiers in the industry—from multinationals to indigenous businesses—the concerns raised aren't far-fetched. Considering Nigeria's current economic climate, it's easy to understand the kind of risk these businesses face. Again, what kind of risk? Truth is, more than ever before, FMCG businesses in Nigeria face the risk of shutting down operations and/or leaving our shores, and sadly, some have already gone down that road. Interestingly, however, amidst difficulties in the market, there are industry leaders still actively seeking top talent to help drive growth, efficiency, market share, and profitability for their companies. Now, that takes COURAGE—expanding in a clime where people INCLUDING YOUR COMPETITORS expect you to actively downsize. But it's also a CALCULATED RISK because at the end of the day, PEOPLE ARE THE ANSWER TO PROBLEMS. Back to my story. I realise more than ever before that the work I do today is no child's play. As a recruitment consultant, I'm well aware that the future of a business rests on its people. So, while I empathize with business leaders having to lay off talent at this time, it could be riskier not creating room for BUSINESS DRIVERS—people who can, in fact, help you open new markets and minimize spend across key business functions. If you're a business leader reading this, and would like to hop on a call with me regarding your current or projected talent needs, send me a DM. Let's talk. Feel free to also share your thoughts in the comments. If you're meeting me for the first time, my name is Prince , and I'm a recruitment consultant over at FMCG Search. Follow and connect with me for more posts like this to inspire you personally and professionally. #fmcgindustry #fmcgcompanies #recruitmentconsultant #recruitmentsolutions

Dear line managers and HR colleagues, Nigeria is becoming increasingly challenging by the day. The scarcity and high cost of fuel have drastically increased transportation expenses. I urge you to bring this to the attention of your management team. Some may genuinely be unaware of the situation, while others might overlook it. Propose possible solutions to ease the burden on your team, such as implementing a hybrid work mode or considering a salary review to cover the additional transportation costs. Beyond the human aspect, the business benefits are clear—employees who feel happy, motivated, and valued are more productive and collaborative, treating your business as if it were their own. Let’s show empathy and understanding in times like this. #EmployeeWellbeing #HRLeadership #EmpathyInLeadership #WorkplaceCulture #HybridWork #EmployeeMotivation #BusinessEthics #Nigeria

Every day, organizations across Nigeria face the same challenge: "The soft skills gap!" This gap holds back growth and productivity not just for employees but for employers too. Barack Obama said "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." We are taking action through the launch of a nationwide survey to identify the exact gaps in soft skills within the Nigerian workforce and bridge it with a major goal of setting a new standard for professional growth and development in Nigeria. Soft skills like communication, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and teamwork aren’t just nice to have, they ultimately influence the success of every organization. When these skills are lacking, the entire system suffers! We can make a difference together to bridge these skill gaps. Kindly fill out the survey on the link below and be a part of this transformational journey! https://lnkd.in/dyyYM7jQ #softskillgap #transformingnigerianworkforce #workplaceexcellence #crosstiesolutions
