This National Slavery & Human Trafficking Prevention Month, we stand with survivors. We are very proud to support Justice & Care, empowering survivors of modern slavery to rebuild their lives and seek justice. ✨ Making a Difference: Practical Support: Survivors are being supported to find jobs, secure housing, and access training. One survivor is now preparing to practise as a nurse in the UK. Emotional Wellbeing: Navigators provide vital care, from offering a listening ear to arranging uplifting activities like countryside outings. ⚖️ Fighting for Justice: 96% of survivors supported police investigations, helping bring traffickers to justice. Collaboration with local authorities is tackling labour exploitation and supporting systemic change in the care sector. Every survivor’s story is a step toward hope and healing. Together, we can make a difference. 💜 #EndModernSlavery #HumanTraffickingAwareness #SurvivorSupport #CFSurrey

Important NEW protections for survivors! ✨ Starting January 1, survivors in California will have the right to take "#SafeLeave" from work, not only for domestic violence, #SexualAssault, or stalking but also for any crime involving bodily harm or threats of violence. Also starting January 1, survivors' family members, including chosen and extended family, will have the right to take time off work to support their loved ones in seeking safety. 👨👩👧👦 ❤️ 💪 #Survivors can now use safe leave for vital steps like seeking #MentalHealth support, finding safe #housing 🏠, obtaining a restraining order and even securing #ChildCare in safety-related situations 👶. #StrongerCA recognizes that #EconomicSecurity and safety go hand in hand, and these new protections are a direct reflection of the support YOU provide when contacting lawmakers to make tangible changes in the law. 📝📲. Every step, action, or email counts in the fight to end . #DomesticViolence & #SupportSurvivors.💜 Assemblymember Pilar Schiavo #AB2499 #DomesticViolenceAwareness #SurvivorRights 🎥 Catch the full conversation between Jessica Stender, our Policy and Deputy Legal Director and Shazzy Kamali, Staff Attorney at Legal Aid at Work. ⏩ https://lnkd.in/g5Bm2dmR

🚨 Community Legal Centres like the Central Australian Women's Legal Service, are facing a critical funding and workforce crisis. This is not just a looming threat—it’s happening now and is our reality ⚠️ Every single day that this crisis goes unaddressed, we edge closer to a future where people experiencing poverty and disadvantage are left without the essential support that keeps them safe, housed, and financially secure. This isn’t just about keeping the doors open — it’s about safeguarding lives 🆘 The people who depend on us deserve the certainty that their lifeline — Australian community legal centres—will be here beyond July 1 2025... 😞 #SaveCommunityLegalCentres

It’s over! After fighting Edinburgh Council tooth-and-nail for three months to get my direct payments for employing PAs restored to previous levels, the funding has now arrived in my DP account. I plan to write more on this experience once I've recovered from the negative impact it had (and is continuing to have) on my mental and physical health. In the meantime, I want to say one thing: It should not have required mobilising my LinkedIn network, local MP, MSPs and councillors, and TV news journalists to secure care and support from the department whose mission statement is exactly that. #DisabilityRights #DisabilityJustice #SocialCareCrisis

🔍 **Narcissistic Triangulation in Family Court** Narcissists can manipulate family court dynamics, creating high-conflict situations. They use triangulation, involving solicitors, court officers, social workers, and children, to control and escalate conflict. 🔄 Solicitors and court officers can unknowingly advocate for the narcissist's cause. Social workers' empathy can be exploited, and children can suffer long-term psychological effects due to parental alienation. 👨👩👧👦 Recognising these tactics is crucial. It helps us focus on the welfare and best interests of the children involved, even in high-conflict situations. 🎯 Read more about this complex subject in our blog at https://lnkd.in/efUCDaeU #familylaw #narcissism #triangulation #familycourt #childwelfare
