⛓️💥Organized crime operates as a networked problem, yet too often, our responses are siloed and fragmented. ⚠️To be effective, we must break down these siloes and foster collaboration across borders, sectors, and agencies. This means sharing knowledge, information and resources to build a unified front against criminal networks. Only through collective action can we address the complexities of organized crime. ➡️ https://buff.ly/3XNmjNY

Shocking Numbers, Under The Joe Biden Administration Human Trafficking Has Seen It’s Largest Growth Since 1865 Human trafficking went from $500 million per year to an astonishing $13 billion dollar a year industry in just one year under the Joe Biden Administration “It's been a tough week for the president, so I thought I would point out 1 of the biggest wins of his administration. Did you know that there's one industry that went from $500,000,000 a year to $13,000,000,000 a year in just 1 year as a direct result of the Biden administration's policies? That's right. Human trafficking has seen its largest growth since 1865. And did you know that humans are the greenest thing you can traffic? Because unlike guns or drugs, you can use humans again and again and again until they're used up, and then you eliminate one more carbon footprint. We did it. We did it, Joe.” WallStreetApes @CherokeeOwl 🦉

Today, the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s TrialWatch initiative launched a report I co-authored with Jessica T. So and Orubah Ahmed in which we found that Kenyan authorities have used the country’s Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation (PFGM) Act to prosecute victims—not perpetrators—of FGM, turning the law against those whom it was designed to protect. Many thanks to the Clooney Foundation for Justice, American Bar Association, and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP for supporting this important work. https://lnkd.in/gxRZwgma
