Did you know that companies with a strong recognition culture have 31% lower voluntary turnover? At IVillage, it's not just about hitting targets, it's about helping others hit theirs. We're celebrating our "Employee of the Month" in a unique way. It’s a heartfelt thank-you note from the team, to the #team. Our #superheroes are those who go above and beyond, not for personal glory, but to elevate their #colleagues. They embody our core values, offering a helping hand and ensuring no one is left behind. This recognition comes from the heart, reflecting the #humanity and #unity that make IVillage a family. Let's take a moment to #appreciate the unsung heroes in our networks. Who’s been your superhero? Share your story in the comments and let’s celebrate those who make a difference. If this resonates, repost and spread the appreciation. #Teamwork #Recognition #Community #IVillageAFamily

This was a great panel event. Honest accounts of the highs and lows of juggling parenting with career progression, as well as tips to manage day-to-day. Key takeaways for me included: 🕵️Get to know your team - don't assume that just because someone is a parent that their circumstances will be the same as other parents in your team. 👨🏾🍼Parent out loud - being honest (and sometimes vulnerable) about your responsibilities at home can help you feel you can be yourself at work. Spending less energy on hiding what's happening in your personal life can help you to focus more on working efficiently and effectively. 🎯 Flexibility and empathy is key - lead with empathy and compassion to get the best out of people. Look after your people and your people will smash their goals/targets. It's great to know that our senior leaders are human and that they're willing to be brave and share their experiences so that the rest of us can benefit. I'm looking forward to the next one already! #parentoutloud #flexiblewaysofworking #empathy #rolemodellingvalues #seniorleadersarepeopletoo #careerprogression #inclusionandwellbeing #parentsandcarers
Thank you to brilliant panellists Jo Harby Maria Farres Owen Jackson Dan Burkwood for sharing your reflections on balancing career progression with parenting at today's CRUK staff event. And to the Parents & Carers Network team, especially Dora Campbell-Black (she/her) and Kelly B. for putting it together. Such an important topic and so much to learn from other leaders

Many companies talk good talk about benefits, culture, work life balance. Many less actually back up the claims with action. Ask what employees need and want. Listen. And do what you can to deliver.

This is a universal challenge that we, as HR consultants, see in every industry. So many employers spend time dealing with the impact of negative employees on their culture, so why not spell out expectations around attitude, language, and how we want our teams to show up intentionally in their job descriptions? When you are clear on your mission, vision and values, you can demonstrate what behaviors align with them and help employees know what success looks like AND hold them accountable for their behaviors. #cleariskind Love this clip Galen Emanuele
A simple, smart way to improve accountability & team culture. This week's #culturedrop is 🔥🔥🔥 So simple and makes so much sense. This topic was inspired by a question/comment from our subscribers and perfect for this week's vid:)

As Romp n' Roll approaches its 20th anniversary, I’ve been reflecting on our journey and how much having a clear purpose has shaped where we are today. When we first opened our doors, the goal was simple: to create a place where kids could play, learn, and socialize, while giving parents a supportive, welcoming community. That purpose has stayed front and center through all the milestones—whether we were expanding to new locations, fine-tuning our curriculum, or finding new ways to support our franchisees. What I’ve learned over the years is that when you have a clear purpose guiding your decisions, it becomes easier to make choices that align with your mission and values. It's helped us create a consistent experience for families and foster a culture that our team and franchisees can rally around. That alignment is key in building trust, loyalty, and lasting success. As we celebrate two decades of Romp n' Roll, I’m more convinced than ever that purpose is what drives long-term success. It’s what keeps us innovating, adapting, and finding new ways to serve our community. What role has purpose played in your business journey?
